Title: Let's be realistic here: How probable is it that Nintendo is doing this viral marketing ad/conspiracy?
Post by: NotSoStu on May 19, 2005, 05:21:07 AM
Last night, I stayed up until 2:30AM reading the Broken Saints posts. And, as much as part of me wants to believe it's true, I simply can't. Nintendo has never embarked on anything like this before. Yes, there is a first time for everything, but it's also true that they've been making mistakes ever since the abandonment of Sony's SNESCD addon (Well, market-wise). I fail to see why this generation will be any different... Is there any really, truly, solid proof that something is going to happen today?

About as likely as George Bush becoming a Democrat today.

The Nintendogs pic is pretty damn hard evidence.

Likely in response to the Haunted Apiary, Nintendo developed another ARG, Channel 51, which was centered around a fictional company called Orbis Labs. This ARG was used as a promotional vehicle for Nintendo's now-released game Metroid Prime 2.
