Looks cool, looks similar to Sega Soccer Slam too, and that got boring very quickly, i'm hoping this is fun enough to last a lot longer.

I'm pretty excited about this game.  I'm a big fan of Mario Golf and Tennis, and I'm excited to see what they can do with the more free style of soccer.  Thumbsup.

Who's the developer of this game? I had a look but couldn't find anything that didn't say "Nintendo".

I believe they did Wave Race (I may be wrong), I know they did the the NHL Hitz games, and as mentioned, they did Sega Soccer Slam..can't think of any others right now

I loved Tennis and Golf, but all the extra item/powerup stuff in Power Tennis made me mad and distracted me from the game. I hope you can play without shells and stuff flying around. But I guess that makes it a little bit like Mario Kart

Uh, you know in Mario Tennis you could turn off the power-ups don't you?

Man that game was great.....hard at first though.

I heard that on Mario's team there is Mario then a whole pile of Koopas.  I think they should take a leaf out of megaman soccers book. I think you should start with one 'key' player in your team, and when you beat another team to can add another 'key' player to your roster..

So you start off with luigi and koopas in your team....you think you need a better defense so you beat the 'bowser' team...and get bowser for your team for defense......

Was going to make a new topic for this... but figured some would get pissed, so I digged up this ancient one instead to appease everyone.

Anyway, the new screenshots have me very interested in this game, I hope the character "specials" are as diverse as they appear to be, while I'm really liking the huge number of different players in the game (anyone know if King K. Rool is going to show up? Would also kill for the "Koopa kids"...).

I could be wrong, but I believe King K Rool is owned by Rare.  If this is true, there's no chance he'll make an appearance in Mario Strikers.

As far as the screens go, they do look pretty good.  But what's up with all the damn Birdos?  And is that really Link?  Why?  He has no place in this game (or any of the Mario Sports games).

I thought Nintendo owned everything related to the Donkey Kong Country (and Donkey Kong 64) universe, which is why King K Rool also appeared as a trophy in Smash Bros Melee, along with Dixie, when no other Rare characters did (excluding the Goldeneye/Perfect Dark items, which aren't credited by game name anyway).

I doubt K Rool's owned by Rare.  If I recall, Rare had nothing to say about the Donkey Kong Country cartoon, that was all Nintendo's call, and K Rool starred.

I thought Nintendo kept Donkey and Diddy but Rare got the rest.  Perhaps I was misinformed.

EDIT:  Hey, guess what.  King K. Rool was in Jungle Beat, so apparently Nintendo still owns him.

Dixie's in Mario Superstar Baseball. So Nintendo must still own her.

1 new artwork = up to 2 avatars.

Screen caps aren't great for avvys due to resolution limitations.

I don't know if Daisy turns me on or disturbs me greatly.
No, wait, I do know. It's the latter.

AHahahahahAAHhaa! this daisy stuff is hilariously funny, and yes creepy all at the same time!  Looks Like King Boo is getting a mouthful, ah god too funny!  And Renny I personally love your avatar!  Maybe one day i'll get off my lazy bum and actually make my own avatar instead of copying and pasting from Gamespot.

Daisy still creeps me out.

Now, Peach, on the other hand....well, let's just say she can bake me a cake anytime she wants.

This game looks sweet.  I've played it a few times at Wal-mart.  Good stuff.  I'll probably pick this one up.

Demo at Walmart? =O

I'm there!

Oh yeah.  Wal-mart actually has a slick Gamecube demo setup.  10-20 new Nintendo games to select from plus some DS game demos/movies.  NOthing terribly fancy.  But easy to access and lots of new games in there.
