Title: Can someone Help Me with some Nintendo Research
Post by: Spak-Spang on April 18, 2005, 04:23:38 PM
Hey I am writing a persuasive (sp) speech on Nintendo, and why you should support them instead the compitition this generation and into next generation.

Does anyone know some good websites about Nintendos history, their exclusive games, their innovations over the years, and such.

My three main points for why you should support Nintendo are:

Exclusive Nintendo games.

Nintendo's reputation as an innovator in gaming.

Finally, Nintendo's options such as portable gaming and such.

Any good sites would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, n-sider.com has a whole bunch of good articles to use.  I even use them for one of my speeches too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo

More info than you'd expect.

Talk about the fact that Nintendo is the only games specialist company left in the console race. They are dedicated and care for games while Sony and Microsoft see it as jsut another place to expand their control of media and infomation while bolstering their profits.

RABicle.  Hey thanks for the wikipedia source.  I had already looked it up.  Amazing what information is on there.

Right now I am just structuring the speech in my mind.  I know the information, but I will be speaking to what is labeled a hostile crowd, because they will most likely be supporting Xbox and PS2.

So I can't just attack the other systems.  Instead I have to contruct an arguement that puts Nintendo in a better light.

Do I do that by comparing all the systems?
or
Do I do that by dearmoring the typical debates from Xbox and Sony supports?
or
Do I try something different?

If they are XBOX and PS2 supporters chances are they don't really know of nintendo.  Just glorify nintendo, make mentions of the other consoles in a slighltly negative light, and try not to bring anything up that could be easily turned around.

Make sure it's funny. The hostile crowd will be less hostile if they laugh.

I finished the speech.  It was funny.  My two main points was a history of the innovative qualities of all Nintendo systems.  Visual Aid being the Nintendo DS, and the Nintendo Gamecube controller and how you can play the games without worry of what buttons you are pressing.

Since I live and breath Nintendo I didn't have to look at my notes to really do good.

Thanks EVERYBODY FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!

This is by far the best site for all the Nintendo info.

Behold!

I've learned all my info there, and I think I might know all about Nintendo there is to know!

They even have some games that I've never heard of! I never even knew that Nintendo created the first dating sim!
