Title: Nintendo Introduces Ten-Month Seminar for Students
Post by: Bloodworth on March 17, 2005, 07:01:47 PM
Students in Japan can apply to a ten-month game design course at Nintendo's Tokyo office.

Nintendo recently revealed a comprehensive "seminar" in which selected students will work regularly on a Nintendo DS game for ten months.  Students will go through a rigorous application process, and apply for specific areas such as graphics, sound, programming, or directing.  Nintendo is covering 100% of the cost for selected applicants.

Applications are to be submitted online by May 9th.  Selected students will submit written examinations and be subject to a personal interview.  The final class selection will be announced June 15th.

Students will then attend weekly three-hour sessions on Thursday evenings with a concentrated training camp in August.  The course will wrap up in March 2006.

Those student-training things are common nowadays to prepare the newbies for crunch time and make them not question the idiotic deadlines.
