Title: Apes Compete in the Los Angeles Marathon

Nintendo dispatched fifty apes into LA to help promote DK Jungle Beat.  Photos inside.

The Los Angeles Marathon is held every March, and tens of thousands of people test their stamina against the 26.2 mile course through the city.  Fifty of these contestants weren't exactly they kind you'd see competing in a distance race, though.


Nintendo thought it would be a good idea to drum up some publicity for the upcoming Donkey Kong Jungle Beat by having apes run amongst the humans.  With bongo drums in tow, they braved the furry suits and high temperatures to spread whatever it is that apes spread throughout Los Angeles.

Those ape suits get really hot, even if you're not doing much at all. They also get pretty smelly. Those guys are going to have a rough time in there.

It's one of Nintendo's funnier marketing ideas, but yeah, it must have been hot in those suits.

omg!  You guys think those are realy apes?  They're in costumes!  Nintendo isn't that dumb.  "Lets release tons of wild apes on athletic people!  We must kill the fit so the obese will play video games!!!  Die, health, die!"

Oh yeah...and the Revolution is gonna make the Xbox 2 and Playstation 3 run back home crying.  Stick that in your pipe and choke on it.

Yeah it is hot in the suits.  We have one just like that that we wear during Halloween.  I wore it when I was ten and when I came home 2 hours later I was dripping with sweat...honestly.  Not to mention all the snot in the ape nostril lol (it was cold).  

Oh yeah and dont flame me for saying to choke on it.  I just really think the Revolution is gonna be huge because Nintendo doesn't act this confident unless they've got a winner up their sleeves.  Even Reggie is proud of it.  Man, I wanna work at Nintendo so I can know what the concept is!!!  I must know!!!  As Stewie would say, damn you all!
