Title: What Fire Emblem game was/is going to have random battles?
Post by: jstone on February 25, 2005, 11:00:18 AM
I thought that either the GC or the a new GBA game will or has random battles in it beyond the chapter battles.
-Any idea? I thought I read it on this site but no luck finding it.

Not that I'm aware of, though I haven't read up on them too much. I think they have arena battles or something in the new GBA game, but they're probably not random.

No, and I wouldn't plan on it...It's a SRPG for a reason...

I guess there is something about it in the new Nintendo Power. I am sure I read about it on this site though but not finding it when I go back through articles.

Yes, the upcoming GBA Fire Emblem will have random battles that appear on the map. There's also a tower with killer monsters waiting for you to challenge. There's a bit more focuse on leveling up in this game due to the branching promotions. You can still play it like the regular Fire Emblem and not worry about leveling up. Plus, those towers and ruins battles will make mince meat out of inexperience FE players thinking they can gain experience points and level up.
