Title: PSP games wierdness

Is it just me or dose teh psp like only have sports, racers and thrid person shooters?!

Ds has such a better selection of different kinds of games.

not sure might jsut be me....

It's kinda the same for the DS, all it has are ports, sports games, and puzzles.  The genres aren't going to fill up quickly.  But once one takes off on a particular system, you're going to see many more of those.  I don't think we'll be seeing that many more platformers.  

This makes me wonder though, I wonder what the excuses for the developers are going to be for these systems.  They both have the same number of buttons, both of them do have analog (be it one is a much more LEARN ME OR DIE Puff Daddy approach), and they both basically have the same goodies.  They can't say that the DS is less powerful, even though it is, but that didn't stop the hoards from making PS2 games for the GCN.  They can spend a little bit more time making a map.  Oh well, to hell with the "Gaming Penthouse" and "VIVA LA GAMING GHETTO!!"

ya thats true ds does have a lot of puzzles

jsut for the record psp has a analog stick

Yeah I said that, I just said that the DS's form of analog is the CAHRAZEE one (meaning the form of "analog" in Mario DS).

whereas the DS has a bunch of crappy games over all genres?
I'll take Ridge Racers, Wipeout Pure, and Twisted Metal any day... besides racing games are great for PSP, nice graphics, good multiplayer and short matches to conserve battery.

Well if you're comparing PSP games to DS games then it should be fine. Maybe just tweak the title.

gtapsp.com, some fansite for GTA for PSP, says that "Analysis suggests that the game will feature a full 3D engine, although this remains unconfirmed." Does this mean that the game will be 3d like the ps2 versions, or 2d top view like the original GTA games for PC and GBA??

Hahaha, a topdown GTA for the PSP would simply DESTROY Sony. Imagine all the gore-kiddoes going "The PSP can't even play GTA! Man, this sucks!". After MGA they can't afford to botch another franchise.
