Turns out the former release date isn't going to be held up. We're getting it earlier!
Today Midway had a pleasant surprise for GameCube owners with the announcement that their latest iteration of Mortal Kombat would hit Nintendo's console on February 28th. The game was originally scheduled for a March release.
In place of the online play present in Playstation 2 and Xbox copies of Mortal Kombat: Deception, Midway has included two exclusive characters, Shao Kahn and Goro. Deception was recently honored with the award for "Fighting Game of the Year" by the AIAS.

I would have been interested if Midway added an online feature, or gave gamecube owners a demo of Area-51....ohh wait they dont make Gamecube games anymore?
