Ken Toyota, chief of public relations at Nintendo NCL, talked with Japanese online magazine ITmedia yesterday.
Although Toyota proudly discussed survey results showing an increase in both the older and female markets with the Nintendo DS, did not deny underwhelming game sales. The Nintendo representative stated that bundled software and GBA compatibility curbed the need for immediate game purchases in both markets. He also stated that the delay of Puppy Times, which Nintendo hopes will be a big seller in Japan, hurt sales.
Mr. Toyota also reiterated that Nintendo plans to unveil the Revolution at E3, but made it clear than Nintendo is currently unsure of how much to show. Nintendo wants to convey their next system's uniqueness, but doesn't want to reveal all of its cards. Whether Nintendo will show concept art, demo footage or playable hardware is still undetermined.

According to a recent Club Nintendo survey, 22 percent of DS owners are female, which represents a 7 percent increase since the last survey was taken. Use of the DS among the over-19 "mature" set has also risen from 49 to 59 percent.

Darn. They're going to be a year behind PS3, despite constantly saying the opposite.
Releasing "too much information" at E3 5-6 months ahead of time doesn't make sense if it were really to be out in Oct/Nov.

What? I *really* doubt the PS3 will be out this year...
