Title: Eternal Darkness $20 at Bestbuy.(Post good deals here)
Post by: NIN10D0 on February 12, 2003, 06:41:24 PM: I went to Bestbuy planning to buy SSX Tricky for $15, but then I saw ED for $20 and I couldn't pass it, because it was one of the top games I wanted to play. I am definitely getting SSXT next week tough.
Godzilla was $30 too... well at least cheaper than most other stores.

Post other great deals here if you know any.

I was gonna get it near launch, but after renting it, and be fairly annoyed with the slowdown, I opted for Star Wars RL. I cant say I made the wrong decision, but for $15, I dont think I can go wrong. I am kinda tied up right now with Metroid and RE3, not enough time for more games right now. Renting games seems rediculous anymore, for the cost of 3 rentals, you can own a game.

I mean, why pay $10 for Beach Spikers when I could go to Wal-Mart and pay $80?

Although, Future Shop currently has WMX8 and Madden 2002 for $20. That comes off as good news for the fellow currency challenged people out there.

All of these prices are for NEW items, not used.
I didn't compare them all but I can tell you Dead to Rights is $49.99 everywhere else (best buy, circuit city, etc)
Also, there's a lot more in this price range (Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, SSB:M to name a few are all 30) but I only listed the ones I thought were a good deal (i.e. - fun AND cost effective)

But when I went to Best Buy today to pick up a Nyko Master Pack ($10 for controller, extension cord, 59block mem card, 12-disc wallet), I saw bags with carrying case, Wavebird (!), and $50 coupon book also w/ purchase of Cube.

Of course at that price I snatched it up instantly. I thought perhaps, it was a mistake, but sure enough all of the copies of METRIOD PRIME they had were all marked $29.99!

Last month, it was priced at $44.99. (at Sam's Club).

1- Nintendo 59 Memory Card

For $169.95. I don't know why they were doing this didn't ask anyone, but I think it is because they had alot of GameCube's in stock. I counted 92 of them sitting around. I called another Meijer and they were selling at the normal price.

Yeah, I saw BURNOUT at Sam's Club for $19.99 as well. I wish they had it a few weeks ago - I wouldn't have bought a used copy of it on E-Bay, LOL. I can't wait for Burnout 2!

I bought a 251 mem. card (19.99) and All Star Baseball 2004 (only 39.99). After rebates and discounts both came in at less than $50. They have a bunch of sports games listed as $9.99 but most seemed to be out of stock. Worth checking out though. Oh, and they had ED for $20.

I remembered it having framerate issues, and it does, but for some reason its more tolerable than when I first played it. I guess for $15, I am a little easier on it. Either way, if your a semi fan of the series, you will have some fun with THPS3. If your a huge fan of the series, I would go ahead and pick up THPS4 for the extra few bucks.

I just picked up mine: $150 for a GameCube (#2), Metroid, and the save card. What a great deal! So breaking down, that's basically:

$80 GameCube

All too often, I've followed good deal announcements, only to find *my* local Best Buy or CompUSA not having the same deal. A lot of sales are either regional or even just for a store (unless advertised in the circular).

So please, if you post a good deal, try to give a location so others don't waste the fuel and travel time to discover that the $20 Baldur's Gate is still $40 at EB (like what happened to me 3 weeks ago).

Even though I despise renting from the place I stop in there every once in a while to check out the previously played stuff. I've been living under a rock and haven't played Eternal Darkness yet. Well I look at Blockbuster and they didn't even have it for rent. Though they had 3 previously viewed copies for sale @34.99. That was like 2 months ago. The price was coming down more and more. Yesterday they dropped it down to 9.99 so I couldn't pass that up. But I'd check in there if your looking for a deal.

Also a few other deals I've seen was at the toys r us in Times Square, New York was sellin Timesplitters 2 for $30 which looked like a really good deal because that games supposed to be awesome (I'm hitting myself for not picking it up) I don't know if there doing it at local Toys r us's cuz I haven't been there in a long time. Also last summer I got Crazy Taxi for $20 at Sam's Club... you should check out Sam's Club they always have great deals.

Edit: Oh and our blockbuster (Atlanta suburbs...the non-ghetto ones by the way) has lots of ED copies for sale...Maybe it's more popular here.

As for a 14 year old buying ED. I'm 15 and I bought ED from Compusa the day Warcraft III came out (I snagged a collector's ed.). I just gave the money to my mom and told her to buy all this stuff while I go play the demos or something.

They have good deal just hit www.ebgames.com and find out , and yes its way better deal then bestbuy. Nba 2k3 is also 15 dollars also go check out eb games for yourself!!!
