Title: DS controlls question

Hey all
i got a wuestion foyr ya in ds games do you have to use the touch screen to controlle the character or can you switch to useing the d-pad?
please answer ASAP

It depends on the game. Some require touch screen control because using the d-pad isn't possible (Feel the Magic), some use the d-pad (Asphalt Urban GT), some use both (Super Mario 64 DS). Also, some games like Metroid Prime Hunters I believe have many different control schemes to choose from.

In metroid hunts case you would want to use the stylus setup because it works so well.  Atleast to me it does.

Whatever Mario said.  In a way the touchscreen control owns mouse, joystick, joystick button,  or any other form of movement.  It doesn't totally own the others but its a REALLY FUN way to play.

Dpad + stylus works for FPSes, I tried it using UT2004 and a Wacom.

the stylus in mario sucks, but using your thumb works great once you're use to it.
