Title: Component Video Cable...
Post by: tacojohn on October 09, 2004, 06:37:05 AM
I just got a nice little samsung LCDTV for my dorm room and I'm looking to hook my gamecube up using the component video cable...

A few questions

1. Where's the best place to get one? Cheapest?

2. Will all games output through the cable even if they don't support progressive scan- or will I have to leave the RCA cables hooked up too?

3. Will this look any better than an s-video cable on the LCD? It supports resolutions up to 1024 x 768...

1.  The only place.  store.nintendo.com

2.  All games show up.  p.scan or not.

3.  It looks better than s-video.  Don't know if LCD is clear enough to show the difference.  GameCube only supports resolutions of variations of 640x480.

I hope you have an older GCN, though.  Because Nintendo has removed the Digital out from their new machines.
