Title: Hooking up a GameCube to a PC Monitor
Post by: Nemo on September 16, 2004, 01:26:18 PM
Greeings.

A friend of mine (who is away at college) is interested in getting a GameCube.  He could borrow from my extensive library of games, plus he'd get Metroid Prime free. Good deal.  Anyway, he only has a PC monitor, and no TV. He's living in a dorm, so he doesn't have much room for both a TV and a monitor.  How exactly would he go about hooking up a GameCube to his monitor?  I found this solution: A Progressive scan VGA cable, but that will work with progressive scan games ONLY.  Plus, after shipping it'll be half the price of the GameCube.  Is there any other solution? One that might work with ALL games?

I'm looking for the same thing!  I just need a VGA adapter that will give me the same level of clarity that I get when I play my GC on a flat TV with Svid.  I've been looking at a few but I have no clue which one to get! I have no desire to get a proscan vga adapter because then it won't work with nonproscan games, and they're just way too expensive. Can anyone help us out here?  These are the ones I've been looking at.
