I'm guessing it's not the team Shigeru Miyamoto is in.

No, it was made by Noise, which I assume is a 2nd party considering the 4 games they have made in their existence have been Custom Robo titles... ^_^

(Miyamoto mainly works on EAD titles, though his oversight reaches to the other dev teams)
