Why do former nintendo all of a sudden start thinking nintendo sucks? So what i'm asking is why do they go to the darkside?

To test their flash lights.
Money.
Women.
Food
Booze.
I'm starting to get tempted myself. . .

Former Nintendo fans don't buy Nintendo stuff because they're former fans, k.

Former fan:"Hey, you know that Nintendo? Yeah, Nintendo sucks"
Some person: "Oh really?"

*LATER*
Some person: "How you doin' Nintendo?"

*SEXY PARTY*

Maybe they where strapped to a chair being forced to watch non stop shows of Electric Playground and Judgement day and was brainwashed by Tommy Tallarico.

Cool factor and mature rated games.  "Mature Games" is such a dumb term.  Thats like saying its games that are mature.  As in what?  People should start calling saying mature rated games.

Nintendo fans seem to be very negative and cynical and unhappy about Nintendo, which I think contributes to a few fans buying new consoles.  I don't spend much time in MS or Sony forums, but I seriously doubt they are as filled with pent-up frustration and distrust of their chosen game manufacturers.

I remember the heady days after E3 2004, when Reggie had filled our brains with hope and promise and his extra-manly figure. It was such a different vibe from what I'm used to with Nintendo fans.  Now that a few months have past, we've gone back to the usual doubt and skepticism.  Sometimes I think a fan just tosses his hands in the air and shouts, "I quit!"  Then he goes to Sony or Microsoft for the coolness, the third party support, the mature games, the sports, the RPGs, or whatever else.

So I try to be positive!  Nintendo rules!  I have faith!  wOOt!  Of couse, I'm still going to be realistic, Nintendo does some dumb things, but as long as I can play its awesome games, I don't mind.

Edit: changed heads to brains, because it looked weird with "heads" written right after "Heady".  I'm anal.

I AM POSITIVE.

Because I love and care about Nintendo, I'll be disgusted by everything they do and treat them like crap.  Just like Si Fu Pai Mei overseeing "The Bride" from Kill Bill.  In the end, it's all to see them pull thru and get things done right.

Sounds a bit too much like the period during and after 9/11 doesn't it?

*is criticized for being too optomistic about Ninty*

I find that fans of the NES and SNES come in two groups.  The first are those that liked those systems because of Nintendo's first party games.  The second are those that liked them because they were the market leading consoles and had the most games.  The N64 kind of seperated the Nintendo fans and the market leader fans.  Some left right away and some have taken years to do it.

Though I do think that Nintendo has been pretty disappointing this gen.  They've made some really blatant mistakes that anyone could have seen coming and the Cube hasn't lived up to it's potential.  It makes sense for people to leave in a situation where their "team" is losing and in their eyes isn't making a decent effort to "win" again.

I'm a big Nintendo fan and I can't see myself choosing a non-gaming company like Sony or MS over them.  Yet I've had thoughts of leaving whenever they talk about making games simpler or whatever.  That to me sounds like a change in their game design philosophy and that sort of change, if it resulted in games that I didn't like, would cause me to leave.

To answer this question, its probably best to use an analogy so here goes!
Consider Nintendo your friend
You care about this friend  (platonically) but you see this friend making what you think are stupid decisions, (these decisions may actually make sence but you dont see it).
You give this friend ideas of what they should do but your friend still makes these "stupid decisions" after a while you become more and more angry and so you hate this friend for never taking your advice and may even say bad things about this friend to others
Now switch this with Nintendo and presto answer solved.

Or analogy number 2
Your friend once played games you liked with you all the time but now your friend plays different games with other's aswell
You want your friend to play the games you like but your friend is too busy trying to keep everyone happy and cant do everything at once
And so you get angry
Now look at this as another parallel by switching your friend with Nintendo and playing games to making games and you get another answer.

There's probably more analogies I could think up but I think those two will do

How about this one:

Milk is cold, refreshing, delicious, and liquid. And you like it just the way it is. But one day it just changes. It's warm, disguting, nasty, and solid. Now your Lactose intolerant.
