Title: Multicolored 3DS XL Charging Cradles Coming to Club Nintendo Next Week

Five different colors will be available. Don't make me choose!

Five different colored 3DS XL Charging Cradles will be offered as North American Club Nintendo rewards starting on October 31. Each one will cost 500 Coins and all will be available in limited quantities.

The Charging Cradles will be offered in Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and White.

Are you kidding me right now?  I literally just ordered an XL charging cradle last night for $25.  Shipped, so too late to cancel.  Great timing.

I just charge my 3DS via USB cable connected to my laptop.

Very cool. I've been strongly considering picking up an XL to replace an increasingly well-worn 3DS... but the lack of a docking station included was actually a point against the upgrade. The convenience of having a dock surprised me and now I'm not sure I'd like to go without.


This solves that problem, gives me some nice (real) swag to spend coins on, and is going to be somewhat exclusive to boot. Sign me up. The only questions: will I be able to get online when they are made available, and what color to pick?

I'd be getting this just to have, not because I'd ever use it. I'll save the points and if these sell out, hopefully someone who actually wants the cradle gets one instead of me putting it in a box somewhere.

While it isn't really a necessary thing to have for my 3DS XL I still plan on getting one if I have the points.

The XL doesn't even come in some of these colours... and I'm not sure that even the blue one is the same as the blue XL.

I may grab one since there isn't really anything else to use coins on.

I notice there's no black model... maybe they're going to release that as a non-limited edition item for the public? Either way, I'm gonna play it safe and get one. I just don't know which color. Blue is my favorite color, but the yellow (or white) may work with the Zelda 3DS XL better (IF I can score one of those...).

There probably isn't a black one because you can buy a black one from Nintendo's website.
