Since bumping a lot of Talkback threads is apparently a bad thing even though those threads don't really affect the main page or people looking at articles of them on the main page, here is a safe place for us to link to Talkback articles we feel need a second look.

Allow me to start.

I was quite outraged to learn that Nintendo World Report gave Mario Kart a 7.5! I think they may have done it just to get some clicks. Insanolord himself says he thinks it is the best one in the series so clearly something is up with this review.

UK Campaign for Cheaper Games (2002) https://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=233.0

The plan was to boycott buying games for a week.
Sixteen years later we can conclude that this campaign must have been a resounding success.
Accounting for inflation, unaccounting for DLC, games have gone from 40-ish 2002 pounds to 30-ish 2002 pounds.

Mario Enters Politics (2003) https://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=5458.0

"...he disclosed plans to focus on furthering the development of the Mario Party, a well-established, alternative grassroots movement for people who want to see real action from their candidates."

"I definitely would have been the most animated candidate but, even in times of deep budget deficits, saving princesses has to take priority."

Mario demonstrating a firm grasp of Keynesian economics.

User GaimeGuy perfectly sums up this press release,

Man, those are all really fascinating. Thanks for sharing! It only took a little over a decade for Mother 1 and 2 to get released in the NA and that was on the Wii U. What a journey.

If I Were in Charge of Zelda (2011) http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=33988.0

Now here's a fun look back at what people were thinking the Zelda series needed to do in order to refresh itself from a formula potentially going stale. It's amazing to see some of the suggestions and how Breath of the Wild actually did have them. Some, though, have never come to fruition and other suggestions just seem kind of pointless. Couple highlights: In the first part of the article by Nicholas Bray, he suggests having items no longer be found in the dungeons but in the overworld. He also wonders what it might be like to have all items available from the start. But he fears that if someone hasn't found an item they need and get frustrated if they have to keep leaving temples. His suggestion is more bite-sized dungeons and maybe increasing the amount from 15-20 if they are smaller. How about 120 instead?

Also showing some ability of future prediction is Stogi's first post in that thread who suggests be allowed to go anywhere from the get-go, having story elements like items you can collect (hello Link's Memories), more sidequests before getting to the actual dungeon (I believe all Divine Beasts had various sidequests and tasks to engage in before giving you access), more of a sense of incoming doom or dread, and the Master Sword being the last item you collect. Well, the latter might be harder to judge in BotW but it does require you to have gotten at least 13 hearts to access it so it does take a bit of time before you can harness it. Still, Nintendo met his expectations pretty well.
