Nintendo World Report: Powered Off - Issue 1
« on: December 24, 2012, 05:11:52 PM »

Check out the first issue!

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/feature/32878

Nintendo World Report: Powered Off is a new, magazine-style PDF compilation featuring a selection of the site's best content, new and old, repackaged in a slick, monthly format.

Our first issue features some choice reviews, blogs, and features from the past year. Starting in issue #2, we'll include content dating back over the almost 14-year history of the site, current material, and even some Powered Off exclusives!

We'll also post and respond to mailbag questions, which you can send your letters (and/or fan art) to at: poweredoff@nintendoworldreport.com.

All of us at NWR thank you for reading and participating in the site throughout this past year, and allowing us to write the great things you'll find in Powered Off each month. Enjoy the first issue, have a safe and happy holiday season, and join us in the new year!

Glad to be a part of the ones helping you guys. (Question, has anyone considered making an app for smart phones that can bring people to this site? That'd be pretty cool if you were able to!)

This is a neat idea.  While I like the idea of resurrecting some of the old writings of the website, I hope you'll consider having some fresh material published in this fashion.

I never read long articles on main site.

I just don't.

Confusing layout, annoying ads all over the place and small reading space make reading anything longer than one paragraph a pain.

This is a great way for me to check out articles and features i missed. Thanks to everyone who contributed and who made this compilation.

I had no idea Halbred had CF. I also only made the connection now that Halbred and Zach miller are the same person. Or maybe i did at some point and forgot. He is after all a facebook friend. Probably one I'll be talking to more often.

That being said a critique: i'm not sure if i should read all the way down and over... or down over, down over.

I like Zach's posts on Facebook, partially because he shares many of the same political views as me. He and I also used to trade Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl a few years ago.

I laughed really hard when I found they wanted to put my trolling blog post in here.

I do honestly believe its one of the best things I've ever written for the site (oddly, the review of Six Flags: Fun Park always surprises me when I reread it). I swear I hammered it out in about 10 minutes; I don't think my fingers stopped typing for a second.

For reference they stopped about 6 times during this post.

Of course your article was included, it was funny!

I'm glad everyone has been liking it so far, this idea had been brewing in my head for a long time. We decided to wait until after the Wii U launch craziness had died down before this was worked on fully and released.

Except the cover.
