Dead Pixel on my 3DS!
« on: April 21, 2012, 10:56:12 PM »
Today when I was on my break at work, I pulled out my 3DS to check my streetpasses. I noticed this very small black spec right smack in the middle of my screen. I said to myself, oh its just a little piece of dust and I'll just wipe it off. I atempt to wipe the spec off but it was still there. "Oh, well maybe it's under my screen protector", so I take that off and try and wipe it off again. "Oh no! a dead pixel!" This is going to bother me for the rest of my 3DS's life.... :(
So I guess heres my question(s):
1) If I were to buy a new Three Dee Ess, what do I do about all the crap I have on my first one? Can I somehow get all those ambassador games and all the other games I bought on my system onto a new one?
2) I have a 16GB SD card in my system now and I would still obviously want to use that card in my new system.
3) Also, this would be a perfect time for a "re-design" for me so I dont have to get another "original" model... So what should I do? Suck it up and wait for a new redesign that could take up to 2 years to even be announced! or just get a new one?

I got a dead pixel on my 3DS and it pains me...
Please someone answer my question! http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=37536.msg728915#msg728915

OK:
1) You can perform a full system transfer if you keep both 3DS's - everything you have, such as activity log, photos, games will be transferred over.
2) Once the transfer has been performed just out your old SD card in the new system.
3) I would suggest waiting a few months for a redesign if the problem is not too bad. If it is really hampering your enjoyment get an original.

Yes, I have two on my top screen, but it really isn't noticeable. I sometimes mistake them for something I can wipe off, but to no avail.
