I enjoyed Iron Fist.  It was the weakest of all the Netflix properties, but I enjoyed it.

Iron Fist wasn't as bad as people make it out to be... it just wasn't that good, especially if you were looking for martial arts on par with DD, but I'm just not sure why anyone would expect there to be good fight scenes in an Iron Fist show.... : :

Inhumans I have refused to watch until at the very least I've read semi-positive reviews on the entire show to know If it's worth not skipping entirely. and I'm the resident MCU junkie, so you know that show must have looked like dogshit.

If Scott Buck gets another job on a Marvel project.... someone besides Buck needs to be fired.

That having been said, all the other MCU TV shows sound like they turned out pretty good.

I'm actually looking forward to the 1st 3 on that list, but haven't seen much about C&D to form an opinion.

It's way too easy to buy off critics and you don't need to buy off many of them to get a high fresh score as bribing them is a rounding error with the size of the budget these days. It's the same whether it's games or movies where you see far too often the disparity between the audience and critic.

It is massively fucked up if you have a 30 point difference and the product is blindly obviously bad which clearly show them getting brought off.

So always bring your salt.

well, there are screenings going on in other countries... and the praise seems pretty universal, especially among those open to actually enjoying comic book/superhero movies.

really fun, a joy to watch, hilarious, lots of action, Best Thor seem to be common phrases among professional and fan reviews I've seen. I'm going in with ALL THE HYPE. I didn't need anything from the critics.

I finally watched Spiderman Homecoming at the local 2nd run theater today. Fun little film! They really nailed the feel of the Spiderman comics. I liked the fact that it wasn't a save the world plot, but something smaller and more personal.

Small criticism, the night scenes at the end seemed very dark and I couldn't tell what was going on a few times. It could have been the theater's projection.

That's why I was so surprised about IGN's 7.7 review score for the movie. Normally they are pretty gung-ho on this kind of movie as long as it's well made. Frankly, that's kind of my expectation since I'd say my Marvel movie viewing experience has been around that range.

I think people were overly harsh on Iron Fist. A  lot of complaints about his characterization, but I think it is better that Iron Fist does not start off Overpowered, and also that he has a flawed personality. 

He is a Religious Zealot/fanatic, that has no idea on how to really use his power. He is like Kun'Lun's version of  a suicide bomber. He actually has a lot in common with a character on the Punisher. It took a few seasons for Goku to become Super Saiyan.

But he does have an innocence and naivety to him. His personality reminds me of exactly of Leroy Green on the Last Dragon.

The best thing they can do with future Iron Fist iterations is have him get his ass kicked, and then get trained somewhere, and then kick the ass of his asskicker.
