Nintendo is bringing a Wii U demo tour to select Club Nintendo users in certain regions.

Shortly after E3 2012 came to a close, Nintendo sent out Wii U Experience invites to select Club Nintendo members in the New York area. The event, which offers playable Wii U demos, is taking place during the last week of June.

They also seem to be sending out invites to Club Nintendo members in other areas, including Miami Beach (mid-July).

The Wii U Experience will allow guests "the opportunity to experience Wii U, including its new touch screen controller, full HD graphics and innovative new games." It's pretty safe to assume Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U will be there, but who knows if there will be a wide swath of third-party games.

The events seem reminiscent of the Cube Clubs that ran before the GameCube launch, and the numerous Wii playable events that occurred before that system's launch.

Each invite allows one person to register and then bring two friends for a two-hour block of time from a select few days. Each attendee needs to have their name registered beforehand, and you need to bring photo ID with you when you go. Kids can come, but they need to be accompanied by an adult 18 years old or older. I wouldn't fret if you're in a bigger market and you haven't heard anything yet. As far as I can tell, NYC is the kick-off, and they might slowly roll out and build up to more markets as the year goes on.

Just hope they don't come to Los Angeles September or later.

I'm moving to the Boston area at the end of August. If so, I hope they don't go to Boston before September.

Nintendo thinks western New York doesn't exist, so I don't expect to be able to go since it won't come within 5 hours of me.

Nor Nashville or Middle US.
As I said when they said they be doing this with the Wii. They should at the very least go to 1 Town in every State in the US and then in Canada I assume something in the North and South Canada State Thingies, because there so big. In Tennessee I do Nashville, Memphis (Biggest Town in Mississippi), and Knoxville (with UTK literally voted a top Party school.) Mostly because those are the 3 distinct segments of TN.

Thanks for the reminder, Nintendo, that apparently Orlando FL is never big or important enough for any of your events, despite apparently sending invites out to Miami further down South.

Someone must have screwed-up when they made the Zelda Symphony Concert schedule, because it's probably the only reason we're getting the concert next month.

Yeah, I'm not really that bitter. But it would be nice if Nintendo actually came to town for a change with these events.

Given that the Moffitt Spotpass was my first hit since the Reggie Spotpass, I will understand entirely if Nintendo skips my region.

I hope Miyamoto does a pass to plug Pikmin 3...I want to finish a puzzle.

I got an invite and I'm excited for the chance. Watching videos from E3 didn't make me want to play the games because the visuals seemed to be along the lines of what the Wii produces. Hopefully using the hardware will convince me about the system.

I went to one of these last week. It was nice not having to wait in super lines all day. Love that pro controller!

I think the best thing about these events is the limited amount of people there. It really does give you the chance to try anything you want that is playable. I think only P-100 and Pikmin ever had long lines. Most everything else was, at most, 3-4 people deep.
