Delayed for unknown reasons? I thought they stated that the delay was because they didn't want to release it so close to Goldeneye and Call of Duty Black Ops. Or was that only speculation?

When Sega announced the delay they did not give any reasons. It was originally supposed to come out on the same day as GoldenEye 007.

I hope they took the extra time to really polish the game and make it special. Goldeneye 007 kicked so much ass I won't buy Conduit 2 unless is equal or greater than that game.

Conduit left a sour taste in my mouth when I tried it. With the back-to-back releases of GoldenEye and Black Ops, my Wii FPS needs will be met for a long time and I have no desire to get Conduit 2.

For those commenting on that there wasn't a reason given gor the delay there was a reason. To make the game better and more complete.

That is one of the speculated reasons, but no reason was officially given(at least when they announced the delay, maybe later they mentioned a reason).

Didnt HVS just lay off like half its staff awhile ago? That could be why

The theory for the delay is to back off of GoldenEye and Black Ops. They also likely improved the game.

However, no "official" reason was ever given; it was just delayed.

There is obviously a FPS pecking order on the Wii.

It's not just the Wii. Notice how the only FPSes that came out anywhere near the launch of Black Ops were Goldeneye (Wii exclusive and also an Activision release) and Halo: Reach. Brink was delayed for the same reason. Nobody wants to go toe-to-toe with Call of Duty, because they'll lose.

Call of Duty is like a Lion feeding on a carcass while the Jackals and Hyenas (other FPS franchises) wait pateintly on side for their turn to eat.
