Mafia XXXII: Day 3 (plus weekend)
« on: March 27, 2009, 09:23:44 AM »
On the second night, Club Toad gathered in the Castle Courtyard yet again.  In the background, one could see a parking lot full of go-karts, and in the foreground, one could see blackfootsteps in the center of the crowd, being handed a potion.

"Okay, Chompy, time to drink the potion," Professor E.Gadd said, keeping his distance from the figure.  Chain-Chomp/Toad sighed.  He had only recently been giving the gift of speech, and now it would be taken away.

"Hand it over, then," Chomp said.

Blackfootsteps drank the potion, and before everyone's eyes, he began to morph back into a regular townie Chain-Chomp.

The crowd booed - they were supposed to be finding Bowser, not strange metal dog circles!  The booing stopped, however, when Chain Chomp did not appear to be moving.

Professor E. Gadd walked up to blackfootsteps and kicked him.  Nothing.

"Hmmm... I think... umm.... that my cure is not quite ready yet.  Seems that it doubles as a poison.  Very sorry about this, everyone!  I'll have it ready by tomorrow!  I promise!"

The crowd cheered at his show of confidence and enthusiasm, as blackfootsteps was carried off by four very burly looking Toads.

----

Later that night, Decoyman slept soundly in bed.  Suddenly, he heard a loud noise and jumped up (although not very high) and ran down to his front door.  He quickly picked up a radish from the floorboards, and opened the door.

There wasn't anyone there.  How curious.  He threw the radish on the ground and began to look around his property.  There wasn't anyone behind the tree; there wasn't anyone hiding behind the waterfall.  He checked in the weird egyption vase he'd been given as a gift back in 1988, but nothing.

He should have looked on the roof of his house, because that's where the hammers began to fall from the sky.  The came slow at first, and then they were in a perfectly arcing barage, fast and furious.  He dodged a few, but not enough.  First he was Toad, then he was small Toad, then he was dead.

Decoyman never changed back into his other shape, because he was the real Toad, a townie till the end.

----

The Hammer Brothers were very pleased about their execution of Toad; He had been a thorn in their side for far too long.   They decided to go out to the local tavern for a drink.  They put away the hammers, and headed out.

As they opened the tavern door and walked through, suddenly it was black.  They couldn't see anything!  Large canvas sacks were placed over their heads and their hands were tied behind their back.  It was an ambush!

They were carried off to god-knows-where and it wasn't for another hour or so before the bags were removed and they could begin to get their bearings.

They were in the center of a room.  No, a dungeon.  The spotlights were on them, and as they looked around, there were goombas as far as the eye could see.  There were hundreds, no thousands, no MILLIONS of goombas.  How could so many goombas be on the screen, er, in the room at once!  This was amazing!

Standing on a floating platform, was Toad.  Or rather, someone else who happened to look like Toad, just like everyone else.  Toad spoke.

"Did you think you could get away with it?"

"What are you talking about?" asked the first Hammer Brother, who had been operating undercover with Bowser.

"You idiot, stop playing like an idiot.  I know you've infiltrated my mafia.  I know you've turned your back on the cause!  I've had enough of you.  And your little friend.  Brother.  Whatever.  Bwahahaha!"

The floating platform began to move away and the Goombas began to move in.  Slowly.  Very very slowly.

The Hammer Brothers, Maxi & Dasmos fought valiantly for a time, but NOBODY could kill that many Goombas.  Nobody.

-=*=-

RESULTS:

blackfootsteps (townie) was voted out.

Decoyman (townie) was hit by the Hammer Bros.

Maxi (Hammer Bros) was hit by the Mafia.

Dasmos (Hammer Bros) died along with Maxi.

we had a little conversation about maxi and blackfootsteps...and then they die.

Khush knew Maxi was a hammer bro, and said he was going to use them to take out the mafia, they get knocked off before the next day and the innocent townie that Khush claimed was the godfather gets taken out

then the vote magically coordinately changes right before the vote ends.

Khush you better do alot of explaining! PM me

Unless this is all some sort of elaborate plan, Khush kind of just screwed himself over.  Knowing how sneaky Khush is though, he's probably the bomber and wants us all to go boom by voting for him.  I'm going to hold off on my vote for now and see how things turn out.

If he did that wouldn't he want to wait until there were less people in the game so that he could win by bombing?

Well the bomber seldom ever wins (not sure if they've won in the past), so if Khush is the bomber he may just want to go out with a, no pun intended, bang and take people with him. ;)

EasyCure had a real shot at winning last game but he blew it by going MIA (pun intended).  Even though we all knew he was the bomber, none of us could touch him.  And since he got to choose his apprentice after he died, all he would have to do it wait until 6 people were left (including himself), blow two of them up (plus himself) and then choose an apprentice who would blow up the remaining players.  In fact I think there might have even been only 6 remaining players when he died from a lack of participation (I'm not 100% sure of this).

Hi y'all. How ya doing. So, I'm not sure why everyone is against me. I think pretty much everyone recieved this post from me:

"So, Maxi has told myself and a few other people that he is one of the Hammer Bros. If we let him live, he's going to kill the mafia for us. Naturally we don't believe him but we want him to. We told him we weren't going to change our vote against a known enemy for a potential townie. So, he told us to vote for BFS saying he is Bowser. We're going to take him up on that info but before the day ends, we are going to mention that Maxi is the Hammer Bros. Hopefully, this will cause the Hammer Bros and Mafia to hit one another and the townies enjoy a night of peace.

Now, for all I know, you may very well be mafia also. If so, I hope the news on Maxi helps and that he is telling the truth and we get rid of a mafia member. And if you are a townie, I hope you join in our vote."

Everyone who voted for BFS knew there was chance he might be innocent. But there was a chance Maxi might be telling the truth as well. That's why we voted out BFS. The plan was also to let the mafia know that Maxi was the mole. That was accomplished by the fact that I sent everyone this message. Like I suspected, the mafia took the bait and hit Maxi who was the mole. I don't know why the Hammer Bros. hit Decoyman. That was unexpected but goes to show that Maxi had no intention of working with the townies.

I find it interesting that last night, people were excited for the news and couldn't wait to work with me. Now today, they suddenly can't wait to vote me out. I'm not sure why people suddenly think I deceived. We all thought it was a good choice last night.

Now, normally, I would work hard to fight such a vote and try to convince to work with me. But I'm not going to do it this time. I know. Most of this post was me defending myself. But what I mean is, I'm not going to work myself over it.

Last night, I worked hard trying to process and cordinate the information given to me. But after the vote was over, I realized that I had wasted my whole evening. And I realized that while I enjoy this game greatly, I'm turning it into to much of a time sink. So, this is all I'm going to say on the matter. I feel I've made myself very clear on everything that I've done this game. But I still get targetted. So, I'm going to stop fighting. Maybe then, wach game won't be such a struggle.

I've done what I can to leave a good townie alliance going. Peach and Wario know one another. I was close to locating Luigi and Mario. And I like to think I removed the Hammer Bros. All the people decrying their deaths are most likely mafia members. Anyone who thinks the Hammer Bros. are friends of the townies are deluding themselves. They killed two townies and their goal was to kill us all. Not to mention, we had to kill them to win. We had to target them at some point.

So, I take a bow. And as promised stevey, you can have the gift of leading a bandwagon against me.

My final thoughts:

Insanolord - Seriously? No one remembers how he played last game. He was mafia then and was the last Fox to die. He's playing the exact same game. Not voting unless he has to and then he casts a meaningless vote. But I'm more suspicious?

Nickmitch - Same thing as Insanolord. Plays a quiet game and keeps lasting to the end. Why? People started voting for him yesterday. Make him sweat.

Stevey - When I told stevey of the plan yesterday, he sent me this message:

"Or we vote him and he take you with him to the grave in revenge :evil; The loud mouth and evil mouth for the price of one.

Oh yeah, big mistake telling me this info. Even though I am a Townie, I don't give a damn about them because that not fun :P"

That's the man you are listening to? He doesn't care about the townies?

Vudu - He seems to flippant about his vote. He seems eager to vote for anyone and doesn't seem to care who. I find it curious that on day 1, no one had a problem starting a huge bandwagon between me and him despite the fact that we know there was bomber. Something very fishy about that first day.

Golden Phoenix - She keeps showing up and voting in the middle of a bandwagon every days. Then she slinks off and hides. Trying not to stick out too much?

Well, those are my suspicions for mafia. Feel free to use them if I die or if you wish to change your vote tonight.

Good night everybody!

And that is different from how I usually play? lol

Considering no one ever talks to me, I don't have much to go on. I voted maxi yesterday because he was acting weird, and a weird maxi scares me.
