Star Wars Mafia. Day 8. Coruscant. Once more with feeling.

All player should know about the trainwreck that is last Day 8. Needless to say, we're wiping the slate clean and moving forward with a better understanding of the rules. And with the knowledge of almost everyone's roles. Alrighty then.

Now for those of you who forgot what has happened since Day 7, here are the details again:

Thatguy was killed by vote.
Thatguy was The Bounty Hunter.

Athrun Zala was hit by the Mafia.
Athrun Zala survived because Athrun Zala has Gambler's Luck.

Ah yes. That was a good day. Thatguy was the only death. Memories to last a lifetime.

Also, Bill D-7 was rejected.

Bill D-8 is as follows:

So you all didn't want my help in voting out the remaining members of the mafia? Well let's see how this bill fits you. For starters if the last two standing are the remaining mafia member and myself, we both win, no one else. Also I would like the ability to kill one person still playing after the ratification of this bill. If you think that is not enough I am also proposing a 2 for 1 sale on thermal detonators for the rest of the game.

If you want to live for another day I think you better get back to ratifying these bills I propose to you.

You Beloved Senator

I doubt the Senator will get many bills passed now but who knows.

Voting time is the same as yesterday.

First actions due by 11:00 pm EST
Voting Ends - Midnight EST.
Final actions due by 12:30 am EST.

For Vudu, the cliff notes version:

The Jedi Mind Trick can still work on Force Rebound.

If a player had Force Rebound and he voted for himself and won the vote, he would not rebound his own attack against himself. So, the plan to make Nuclearspeed rebound his own attack would not work.

There is still a way to win the game against someone self-rebounding. Enter the Jedi Acadamy in the hopes of recieving a random power like Force Manipulation or Force Rebound.

Finally, let's say there are two people with Force Rebound. We'll call them Thatguy and Khushrenada. Thatguy, along with a few others, vote for Khushrenada. But Khushrenada has Rebound so he sends the vote attack back to Thatguy. Thatguy is killed. You can not rebound a rebound attack. That's a wonderful sentance.

Likewise, if the vote was tied between Khushrenada and Thatguy and both voted for each other, since they have rebound they survive the attack of the inital vote but both could be targetted by the rebound and be killed from it.

I hope that clears things up for you.

And yes, you also have to revote on Bill D-8. I figured might as well go all the way with re-doing Day 8.

I request that this game gets renamed to "Weekend At Bernie's: Mafia Edition"

This whole game has been hilariously terrible and there's dead people everywhere. Wrap it up everyone!

For Vudu, the cliff notes version:

Thanks!

I have no idea what's going no, nor do I really care any more.  I'm sorry, but these complicated games just don't work very well.  I much prefer the simple games (mafia, doctor, cop, crap load of townies).

Oh well; someone PM me something to do and I'll do it.  If I need to volunteer to have electrodes stuck in my testicles, so be it.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Actually, yeah, I'm typing up the daily townie report right now. Expect it in your PMs people!

I'll admit, this hasn't exactly been my proudest mafia game. It didn't seem like things would get as difficult as they have become but it just seems to be a cursed game.

*sigh*

This is like... so unfair. The psychological toll this takes on the townies is tremendous, and if the senator/mafia win because the townie players were too worn out over the unfair events of the last two days, then I'll... I'lll... I'll go on all your smash games and just stand there. doing. NOTHING.

I'll be an emo pikachu.

Yeah. Voting is over. However, there is a tie between Sister Marly LeFever and Nuclearspeed. I'll leave the polls open for 10 more minutes if anyone wants to change their vote or vote for someone.

As posted in the rules:

Breaking voting ties.

If there is a tie at the end of the day's vote, there are three ways to resolve it.

First, there is a role that allows one player to pm me and switch one person's vote to another person. If this has happened, the tie may be resolved.

If the person with this role is dead or has not sent me a pm by the voting deadline, I will leave the thread open for a length of time afterwards and extend the deadline. Important:The extended deadline time will be a maximum of 30 minutes if no other time limit is posted at the end of the day by me. During this extra time, any player can change their vote if they wish. As well, any player who hasn't voted that day may then cast a vote. The first vote that breaks the tie ends the voting. The person with the most votes will then be killed.

If, however, the remaining time has expired and the vote is still tied, the players who are tied are all killed. However, those players get to choose one person who voted for them to die with them. Thus, you may want to avoid ties.

Since the tie was not broken both Nuclearspeed and Sister Mary LeFever can take someone with them who voted for them. In the case of Sister Mary LeFever, the only one to take with her is Kairon. In the case of Nuclearspeed, since the vote was his own through Jedi Mind Trick he has no one else to take with him.
