Homocidal Psycho Jungle: Weekend Day 6
« on: January 18, 2008, 06:33:43 PM »
Today is a double day.  That is, the vote ends Sunday at midnight.  Polls do not close at midnight Saturday night, but rather the next day.  You get it.

Ok, onward and upward!

Today, things are nearly wrapped up:

You may already know that ShyGuy was transmogrified into an actual Shyguy. He was Mrs. Wormood.

Additionally, two people died over the night:

Toruresu, the fearsome feared Stupendous Man was killed by the last member of THE BABY-SAT CLUB!

Suzie, insane with rage, and desiring revenge for both Hobbes and Mrs. Wormwood, threw and ice balloon at Kairon.
The balloon struck with a thud, and smacked his mask off, revealing...Good Calvin!

Of course, this means that the mafia is defeated, and any character that necessitated a mafia win to has lost!

Oh, and even though I said I wouldn't say it, a protection was made.  Duh @ who dun it.

The only road-block to a townie win is the T-Rex in an F-14!  There are two Calvins remaining,  Spaceman Spiff and Calvin himself.  That's of note to the T-Rex, but not really to anyone else.  Will the townies be defeated?  Can they find and topple the Tyrannosaur?  Find out this time, at your same mafia place, same mafia time, plus a day, it's Calvin and Hobbes Mafia!

(C&H theme music plays)

As always, send me questions you may have.  Additionally, I expect anyone that is conditioned to keep their mouth shut about things to continue doing so.  Which is basically two people, and they've done well with it so far, so there's really no reason in stating this.  I just felt like it.  GOOOOOOO!

Special thanks to Arbok for a correction of VITAL IMPORTANCE.

NEW BONUS INFO AND RULE CHANGES:  Instead of the traditional double day, I'm mixing things up slightly.  Everyone is to vote for two players over the weekend.  Your votes may not both be for the same player.  Halfway through, someone will die from the T-Rex's hit.  Their votes will still count, but may not be changed at that point.  The T-Rex's votes now count.  This way, you can't come up with annoying strategies to smoke the T-Rex out.  Ask me for more info about this if you're confused at all.

I'd like to clear up something to our players, just something interesting that happened earlier in the game that may have left a couple people confused.  However, I can't, not until the game is over.  So hurry up and vote everyone out, and let the T-Rex kill you all, and we'll move on.

In fact, now I'm extremely inspired about something.  So I'll change it in the first post.

Edit: Suzie, I'm extremely angry at you.  You know what you did, I think.  You're a lucky one, I'll tell you.  Don't do that anymore.

I've made a discovery. Take a look at this post stevey made on day one:

He voted for GP "to screw khush". Why would that screw khush? Because, as stevey knew, khush was Hobbes and GP was Calvin's Mom. If Calvin's mom died, khush couldn't be resurrected.

But...wait! How did stevey know GP's role on day one? There's only one explanation I can see: stevey is the tyrannosaurus in an F-14.

We can vote stevey out the clean way, or the messy way. The clean way is me (I'm Calvin, BTW) and spaceman spiff voting for stevey, and everyone else abstaining.  (Calvins are immune from the t-rex). The messy way is lots of people voting for stevey, and lots of people blowing up. Either way, everybody wins (except susie and the t-rex).

My two votes: unVOTE STEVEY; unNO VOTE

So how does it work? Voting is like normal, but instead of splitting the days, the votes are held until the end with the first vote counting first? Like two days in quick succession?

So, how does my hit work? And how does Pale's protection work?

Edit: ALSO... everyone contact me with your suspicions about who the T-Rex is. I'm the only one who can kill him without dying, so you'll have to rely on me. That's why I need all of your input. Go through Pale if you feel better, and Pale can tell me who to hit. True to my word, I didn't get any hits from Pale last night, so I didn't put in a hit.

Pale can confirm that he didn't send any hits. If I weren't Spiff, I couldn't know this. I hope you can trust me now.

You certainly could zap the t-rex (who - I'd like the reiterate - I'm almost sure is stevey). But you don't have to. There's no reason not to vote him out.

I didn't send any hits because I didn't have any idea what to do.  Did I get my three votes last night?  And how does that work with this new double day?

Copying this over from the Roles & Rules Thread:

Alive Players
Pale (Calvin's Dad)
Vudu
Stevey
Sessha
Sister Mary Le Fever
Zach
darkheart
Atrun Zala
Dasmos
Decoyman (Spaceman Spiff)
Wandering (Calvin)
Plugabugz

Alive Characters
Calvin (Wandering)
Spaceman Spiff (decoyman)
Calvin's Dad (Pale)
Susie
Tyrannosaur in an F-14

That leaves two roles that aren't known--Susie and the T-Rex--and nine players that aren't counted for--Vudu, Stevey, Sessha, Sister Mary Le Fever, Zach, darkheart, Atrun Zala, Dasmos, & Plugabugz.

Susie's made a hit (or protected Hobbes) every night, right?  So that means that Susie must be someone who's logged in every day.  I haven't been keeping track of that (and I don't have time at the moment) but does anyone know if any of these people have missed a day?  If so, we can probably eliminate them from the suspected Susie list.

Does decoyman have to choose three people every night or is it optional?  If it's optional, he doesn't perform any more hits because it's too likely he'll accidentally kill a townie.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

AZ hasn't been around hardly at all... Last login was Tuesday.

Edit: Yes, I have to choose three. There is a way to narrow the odds, though. If I choose someone who is protected (like Pale, if he protects himself), then the numbers go from 33% to 50%, because one is eliminated from the possibility of being hit.

But I agree with Wandering, the best course would be if the remaining calvins could vote out the Tyrannosaurus. We are immune from blowing up, as he said.

Suzie is not allowed to mention anything in regard to the Tyrannosaur's player in any way what-so-ever until the game is absolutely finished.

Are you thinking what I am thinking? If enough people make claims, we can narrow down the possibilities.

I think Stevey is T-Rex in an F-14.

Let's narrow this down.
1. Athrun Zala hasn't been around hardly at all... Last login was Tuesday. This doesn't really tell us anything.
2. Sessha has contacted me, and appears genuine in being a townie. However, I have no hard evidence.
3. Likewise with Darkheart. Further, darkheart has tried several times to get me voted out the other day, which would be downright counterproductive to him winning, if he were the T-Rex. Still, no hard evidence as there are with some others.
4. Plugabugz's vote for Pale counted yesterday, before the T-Rex vote rule change. Check him off.
5. Dasmos was one of three people to vote for Pale on Day 3. There WAS a secret "Uncle Max" vote for Pale that day, but Dasmos couldn't have known that. We can probably check him off.
6. Sister Mary LeFever was the third person, and the only unconfirmed person, to vote for Pale on Day 4, when he received four votes. However, SM couldn't have known that anyone else would come along to vote, and would thus risk giving herself (himself?) away...
7. Vudu said he was the Tyrannosaur before the Tyrannosaur was allowed to say he had a role, or reveal himself. Check him off.
8. Stevey is Suzie. He's no threat to us, and can be alive at the end of the game and not keep the townies from winning. Khush, who was in contact with Stevey as they had shared win conditions, confirmed this before he died.

So, people we can check off that list FOR SURE:
Plugabugz
Vudu
Stevey

People we can PROBABLY check off the list.
Dasmos
Sister Mary LeFever
Sessha
Darkheart

Anyone else we can check off?

EDIT:
Here's the updated list of people we can definitely NOT rule out of T-Rex suspicion. Our "prime suspects," if you will.
Zach
Athrun Zala

And here are people who (because of the reasons listed above) have less chance of being the T-Rex, but it's still possible.
Dasmos
Sister Mary Le Fever
Wandering (says he's Calvin, but I don't want to remove him from this list just yet)
Sessha
Darkheart

Ok guys, I'm back and I got the whole weekend to catch up (which means I will probably put it off). I recieved a message last night after I logged off encouraging me to vote for shyguy, so this lends credibility to certain parties already.

PS, interesting to see that I am a suspect for the t-rex.

How today and tomorrow works:  You all vote for two people.  The two people with the highest vote totals at the end of tomorrow die.  Around midnight tonight, a player will die from the T-Rex's hit, but no other night actions will be performed.  If this player has already voted, the votes will remain.

Calvin's Dad only needs three votes to protect, and the player he has protected remains protected the entire time.

Any Q's?

Man...  Man...

I'm suspicious of Wandering.  While he's claimed to be calvin the whole time, he's also fully capable of pulling the wool over people's eyes.
I'm somewhat suspicious of vudu for the same reason.  While he helped us kill mafia yesterday, that doesn't keep him from being the T-Rex.

The wandering situation I can easily fix though.  Basically, if he's lying, someone else has to be Calvin.  If you are Calvin you KNOW you can trust me as I'm the only proven character.  PM me now.

Ok, so while my last post still holds...

I think I'm gonna go ahead and...

Changing..... for right now.

Now Decoyman has this thing to say about it...

7. Vudu said he was the Tyrannosaur before the Tyrannosaur was allowed to say he had a role, or reveal himself. Check him off.

I don't think thatguy would let this kind of loophole slip through, and would most likely gloss over the issue.

Also, the rule change today used to protect the T-Rex from another loophole just SCREAMS of vudu, as he is the kind of mafia player that would smell a possibility like that out and demand the hole patched.

Look at this voting history for Vudu...
Vudu - No Vote, Patchkid (Coach Lockjaw), ShyGuy (Wormwood), ShyGuy (Wormwood), ShyGuy (Wormwood)

While he had good logic for Shyguy later on, having ONLY voted for mafia members is quite suspicious.  Like he knew who the mafia members were.

Pale died because he was being argumentative. Pale was not staff.

Ha ha ha!

Ok, maybe I'm joking here.

Anyways, for what it's worth, one player did influence me to change the rules.  That was Khush, and the change allowed Calvin's Mom to make one miss without a penalty, and allowed he to continue mending Hobbes if she is found out.  It didn't really come into play, though.  And that's it, I think.  Well, there were a few changes I announced, but nothing major, and they had nothing to do with what anyone said about anything.

Pale is correct in saying that I still could be the T-Rex.  Arbok's ploy to root out the T-Rex made it so saying you were the T-Rex lost all meaning and therefore anyone could say it.  (I said so much on Day 2.)  However, I'm not the T-Rex; I'm a townie.

My vote for Patchkid was because Khush and I were talking and he said he was suspicious of those who weren't actively playing.  I actually meant to change my vote for TVMan (as Khush did) but I had class that night and didn't remember to change the vote until after the day ended.  It was a complete shot in the dark and I honestly didn't think Patchkid was even mafia.  My votes for ShyGuy were because he was playing dumb the entire game.  It was obvious from his posts where he asked questions everyone should know the answer to and his insistence on voting for decoyman even after we knew who he was.  If you blame me for voting for ShyGuy three times in a row there's something wrong with your mafia skillz.

Also, Pale, you don't want three votes today.  Since only the Calvins (wandering and decoyman) are voting for the T-Rex if you get three votes you'll be voted out.  You're not immune to voting, remember.

EDIT:  Wandering, did the T-Rex ever contact you?  (My guess is no.)
