Also, congrats to whoever selected April as the month the Switch would surpass the 3DS. I selected May. While the week it happened was from April 25 - May 1 and just barely includes May, I'm going to chalk it up to April as the winner since it likely surpassed the 3DS total sometime during that week before the last day of May 1.
Sadly, when I first put up the poll, I had tried to guess what the figures might be per week and thought May would be the best spot as I was banking on it happening the first or second week of May. A few days later, I noticed I had April selected as my choice. I was confused how I did that so I took advantage of my poll powers to quickly correct my choice to May. If only I'd left things alone and been optimistic of the Switch getting there by the end of April!
Of course, we didn't know about Switch Sports being announced and coming out near the end of April at the time the poll was created. If I had then I'd have been more confident in choosing that month. I think my guess of May would have worked had that game not been released.

PS5 this week - 2,693
Considering some of those titles at the bottom sell like 1,000 and some copies to just make it into the top 30, maybe an XBox will make it onto the Top 30 now. It's certainly sold enough systems to do so.
I guess we'll be seeing a whole lot of games getting cancelled for PS5 development as the public shows they do not want the system.

Well, let's see. ShyGuy has selected the bomb word this round. What might he have done? He's selected YouTube both times he had to choose a safe word. Would he now make his safe choice a deadly choice....?

Normally I'd avoid anything he's doing but (and I can't believe I'm saying this) the dude just won a game after finishing second the previous game so maybe I should be thinking like Insanolord. I mean, somehow the Oilers are winning in the NHL playoffs so nothing's really making sense these days.

Oh no! Is this the part where I have to admit that I don't subscribe to any streaming services...? I have no idea which might have my favorite movies. Just do what true movie lovers do and subscribe to TCM on cable and go to the movie theaters to see what's current.

Actually, maybe it isn't all that dire. I did finish the last case in the Great Ace Attorney Part 1 before starting Kirby this month. So, that's like I completed 1 game since it was originally sold as a stand alone game on the 3DS in Japan. I think I was still playing a bit of Jeopardy on Switch at the start of the month as well. I was hoping to crack the $500,000 mark but the random nature of the Daily Doubles keeps holding me back. Best I was able to get to was $477,000 and some change in a game. Just seemed like I was seeing so many repeating categories that I stopped playing because it had gotten so long and boring. I suppose I could consider it beat but I wish I knew if I'd actually seen all the question in the game or not.

Yep. Complete failure on my end as well. April saw a collapse of my gaming time. After posting in this thread about the 11 hors spent on Kirby and the Forgotten World, I did not pick it up again until April 30th in which I was able to advance to the point of unlocking the final world but that's as far as I was able to get with it in April.
Sadly, this also resulted in my completing missing out on the Kirby Forgotten World theme in Tetris 99. I saw the announcement and wanted to get the theme since it was Kirby but it wasn't until Wednesday after that weekend it was available that I turned on my Switch for the first time in over a week and it suddenly hit me that I had forgotten about that and missed it. That was the low point for the month.
I also did not once get back to Fire Emblem Birthright. I did still do my daily Badge Arcade check-in. Instead, I started playing a bit of Picross e8 near the end of the month and just solving a few puzzles here and there but nowhere close with a hope of finishing that in time for the month.
And that's my 0 in 4 for the month. Seemed like a simple enough task but I need to do something about my time management I suppose. Oh well. There's still time for redemption when Backlaugust rolls around.

So we have a two way tie between Mop it up and Nickmitch.
Here is how things can work.
One of the players voting for a player can either unvote their vote to cause the other player in the tie to be voted out. Order.RSS can change their vote fromTopHatAnt to one of the players in a tie.
Another option is that someone who hasn't voted can vote for either Nickmitch or Mop it up to make one of those players have 3 votes and thus breaking the tie.
If none of those happen within the 30 minute tie break period then I will randomly kill someone alive.
Geez Louise, BeautifulShy! You're tallying the vote an hour before the day ends, 17 minutes before the day ends but it takes 30 minutes to retally it again? What's that all about?

I've been told an interesting second opinion. What if Alexia got lucky and recruited the detective at the start of the game? That could now have led to today's situation with the Encryptor providing false information. (And let me say, with all that Khush talk at the start of the message, it really does seem to be dripping with incorrect ideas.) It could also be that the Encryptor was recruited and is now giving false information. As such, I think there needs to be a second message explaining somethings from the encryptor for Day 3 on this matter. It's possible the detective found the encryptor and has found a mafia member but why not state the mafia member's role that was supposedly discovered?

Also want to point out an important tenet to Mafia games in general. Play to your role that you received. I remember one game, Power Rangers Mafia, where I started as a normal townie and then Rita made me a monster so I would be on the Mafia's side but I was still playing as I was a townie and folks got really upset at me after the game. I want folks to not deal with that type of situation.
Not to rehash old games but I'd say there is a difference in hedging your bets to keep options open in case you end up getting a switcheroo this game vs still playing for the other side after a switcheroo has happened. At that point, you are locked into a faction. Right now, there's the possibility of a faction swap for a lot of players so its something I think should be considered when deciding what the priority target and voting strategy may be.

Welp, I hate to do it since I'd prefer to see what wily schemes she may get up to but if she's confirmed Mafia then I guess I'll do my part and un-Vote Mop it up. Maybe then the Encrypter will see that I'm also a true townie and not be so mean!

Yeah, I'd disagree with it also since BeautifulShy has interjected with how she won't let it play out that way with everyone eventually just getting neighborized into one big winning family.
Order.RSS has pointed out the better odds that actually come from not voting. Compared to yesterday's result, it does seem like the smarter play is to shoot for a total random elimination but I get why players are more likely to object to doing that and putting themselves at risk for something that could still not benefit them. Plus, it does kind of go against the spirit of the game. What's the point of the game if we just wait around to see how random eliminations play out and settle who wins and loses? There's no player agency so that's kind of silly too.

How dare you! Just for that, Illumination is going to make you watch this movie over and over until you admit they make the best animated films in the business! Looks like someone's going to have a long 2023.
As for me, I think I'll play it smart and just give them a pass.

Consider: Ashford or whatever had the opportunity to neighborize right when the game began or just before it. Let's assume that was successful.
If so, that would mean there are 2 players on the Ashford side and 3 players on the Wesker side. 5 villains. There are currently 11 players left. That means almost half the players right now are Mafia. With how yesterday played out, it's more likely that another townie gets killed today instead of a Mafia player despite it being an almost 50/50 shot of correctly voting for a guilty party if you are a townie like me.
Moreover, considering what happened last time when a member of the opposing Mafia was neighborized leading to the traitor helping tear down that original Mafia they belonged to, it is better for a townie to wait and see if that happens here. By not voting another townie out by accident then you increase your odds of winning in two ways. One is that you help keep the townie faction larger by not eliminating members of it by mistake which may prove advantageous if the Mafias do target each other and decimate their own numbers in a Mafia war. Two, you may be neighborized instead which would also likely give you a better chance of victory as the Ashford Mafia can increase its number to the point of hypothetically neighborizing everyone in the game, thus making everyone a winner on the Ashford side.
With this in mind, I find the motivation to vote out others just isn't there for me. Better to make it harder for the Wesker Mafia by forcing them to expose themselves by trying to get other players voted out in an attempt to whittle down the numbers and thus get targeted. It will also leave them with a lot of hit choices to protect Ashford increasing the chances one of them gets converted and exposes the other members. A lot of players in the game also means it would take a much longer time for them to win which will further hurt their chances of victory as it gives someone like the investigator more time to get through players identities.
