Japanese Club Nintendo Adds Rewards
« on: February 13, 2004, 07:30:09 AM »
Japanese gamers can get the Zelda bonus disc via the Club, as well as a new paint job for their GBA SP.

Nintendo's rewards program in Japan has recently added a few more things to their list of cool stuff gamers can earn for buying and registering Nintendo stuff.

The Zelda bonus disc that Americans and Europeans had little trouble getting for free (registering a game or two) will be a little tougher to come by for the Japanese.  They can get their hands on the compilation disc for 500 Club points.  Since a registered product can only get 60 points at the most, that means someone in Japan will have to register at least 8 or 9 games just to have a chance to get it.

Also added as a reward is a color swap for a Game Boy Advance.  Starting on February 19, for 600 Club points, you can send in your SP to Nintendo, and they'll send it back to you in one of six color patterns exclusively for the Club, which include Flame Red (which Japan did not get), Pearl White and Lime Green, as well as two-toned pearl and platinum colors.

Nintendo of America hasn't hinted at anything else that might be coming for those here in North America who register their games.  While it may never be something like changing the color of a GBA, if they do announce a new freebie, we'll let you know right away.
