It would have more potential if they removed the excessive bloom that everybody seems to use these days to blur details away and hide any issues in the graphics.

Only when there are few bright things around. E.g. EDF(2)'s night missions had very few lights and the bloom gave it a nice glow but when the scene is bright it just feels like there's a fog over everything.

Well I don't really mind the bloom on shiny surfaces like a blade of a sword or metallic armor. But I agree bloom should be used to enhance torches for night missions if there is any.
