Depends on how it is done. In the right hands it could be good. I doubt they would do both though because the films would be competing against each other (unless they decide to stagger them and treat Rose Red as a "sequel" of sorts.

If Beauty $ the Beast knocks it out of the park, you can bet a musical retelling of Snow White will get the priority over Rose Red.

Just saw John Wick back in August.  That movie is incredibly fun, and i'm not even a big action movie guy.  Definitely pumped for the sequel.

Wrong way round, John Wick has always been movie first. They added him to PD2 as part of a promotion. The latest Wick pack is for Wick 2.

Just finished Westworld and this is very much an awesome and worthwhile series to check out. It is also less graphic than Game of Thrones, though it still has it's fair share of violence and nudity. I notice a lot of the kill shots are cut away. It may be a style choice, or even due to the nature of the show trying to surprise you and leave you in suspense. My favorite twist was definitely the one involving the "Man in Black" as they call him. Though all of the twists were delightful and surprising.

Ending has me wondering where they go from here, leaves you wondering, but not is a Walking Dead cliff-hanger sort of way.

1) Will the hosts rebel and basically claim themselves as a nation/state/free people (and are all of the humans in that gathering dead or captured)? And because of this, I got to ask where the facility is located? On an island? In a big city? On a moon or different planet? Something even more grand than that?

2) And What of SamuraiWorld? Is it active and fully operational (and if so, are there even more worlds than these)? Or is it still in the testing/development phases? If there are multiple worlds, could we see the hosts from each world become independent factions/nations that fight among themselves? Who runs this world? Are there separate leaders for each world? If so, were Ford and Arnold involved? Or could there be another creator? There was a third person in that old photo Ford showed Bernard. Was that the person now over SamuraiWorld?

3) What happened to William's brother-in-law? And does William survive that final scenario?

4)  I don't think that Ford is necessarily dead. He could have built himself a host. There WAS a body baing made in Ford's secret lad when Bernard was revealed to be a host.

5) Speaking of #4, if Bernard was aware of the secret transmission spot, why did he kill his agent out there? It was implied that Ford gave the order, but why? I'm not convinced it was an order from Ford. something else could have been at play there.

...Going to start a Westworld spoiler thread because there is a lot to talk about.

WW They have super engineering underneath WW so it is more than likely they can create any environment they want. Ford when he had at the villa showed an monstrously large machine grinding entire geological feature in seconds. So it doesn't really matter where it is.

Likely a test world over seen by Ford as he repeatedly states he and Arnold created everything. Far East World is a natural extension of what as been created.

Driven out of the company or given a pointless window job for getting ousted but William.

More than possible. Hopkins might be a Sean Been stunt casting.

Arnold was ordered to do so that she can draw out the head of Q&A plus she wasn't a threat like Teresa was as he needed to buy a little more time. In the last episode the command centre got locked down and it was chaos with teams not working together. Elsie isn't dead from a tiny spoiler. She doesn't have a beef with the Hosts.

Get Out also has an 83 on Metacritic which is enough for "Universal Acclaim".

This one was on my "maybe" list, but it's definitely been upgraded.

Speaking of getting upgraded from my "maybe" list, the new Power Rangers trailer in theatres is inspiring me to see the film.  I still hate the designs, but the movie looks like it'll be more fun than the generic Breakfast Club meets Chronicle ripoff that I was giving it credit for.  But that could be the nostalgia talking.

People should note. Those that do good a horror do well at comedy and vice versa.

Good horror and comedy is contemporary social commentary.

I added a poll to the top.

There are 8 major Superhero movies coming out this year. The Poll is listed in order of release.
2 have been released, and the 3rd comes out end of this month.

I set the poll up to choose the Top 2 Highest Grossers, and then you can list our your order from highest to lowest in the thread.

I already have my list done, but I'll refrain from posting it for now.

I think The Lego Batman movie will be the lowest grosser this year.
I think Power Rangers will sit comfortably above them on the chart when it's all said and done.

  • I'd bet my left ragnarok on G2 at #1.
  • SMH (Shaking My Head: The Movie) at #2.
  • Pee Rangers, though the fan base is megahyped, is not quite as big so I'm putting it #3.

I'm thinking Spider-Man at #1.  I think the original trilogy had some records back in the day, and the fan base should be pretty riled up.

I reluctantly picked Justice League for #2 as I think the DC brands still carry some cache.  Plus, if WW is reviewed well, that might give JL enough buzz.  I think the movie being terrible will only hurt it but so much.  BvS was bad, but a good film buffering between the trash piles might make people forget that JL will be more like BvS.

I went with Guardians 2 as the number one pick. As I recall, when the first movie was out, it was doing really well at the Box Office. BnM kept posting all time about its haul. Plus, with it's select soundtrack, it got people talking a lot about the film and created more buzz for it. It seems to have made a pretty good impression with a majority of people who've seen it than some of the other film properties so I think a lot of people are going to be want to check out this sequel.

I went with Spiderman as number 2. Even The Amazing Spiderman movies did big box office business despite people not liking them so having Spiderman in the MCU should draw in more people who may have skipped the Garfield affairs but releasing in the crowded summer time could cut into its box office a bit with another Planet of the Apes and Nolan's Dunkirk as a couple big films releasing close to it whereas Guardians will have relatively weaker competition to face off against much like it did in the month of August when it was released a couple years ago.

Much still depends on the finished product and how well it is reviewed but going by the trailers, G2 looks like it will be able to match the effort of the first one again but Spiderman's trailers haven't really pumped me up or sold me on yet. But that's just my take.

Really, everything else on the poll is kind of wait and see for me. I admit I've got some interest in Wonder Woman but that's primarily because of its odd World War 1 setting and I'm curious about the Dr. Poison villain though I believe I heard she isn't the main villain. I'm more curious to see Ben Affleck's take on Justice League when it releases. His bummed out expressions from BvS are still classic and now he seems to be trying to get out of playing Batman anymore so maybe he is trying to distance himself from the DCU on the fear it could be damaging his career again. How much is he going to embrace the release of Justice League?
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.
