"We tried to get him to fix it, but he just kept staring at us."

Nintendo is changing the design of the 2DS for this holiday season, and apparently it's Luigi's fault.

A press statement from the company announced that beginning in November, the 2DS models for North America would be colored (red or blue) on the front and black on the back, as opposed to the opposite which was in place before. The price (US$79.99) and included Mario Kart 7 will remain.

Officially, the company is blaming an error at the factory caused by Luigi for the change.

If you pause the video when Luigi first checks his email you can see the first words of emails in his Inbox.  They're from Toad, Wario, Kirby, etc.  They're kind of funny.

Why can't they just be blue (or red) all over...?
