Congrats Steef on a well earned victory! And thanks Khushrenada on putting in all the hard work as host, keeping everything on track, and finding all the gifs for the game.

Dang, I was smaaaaaaashed out of the game. :'(

Oh well, I'm happy I lasted as long as I did, and can't complain about the game I went out on. Good luck to the final three.

3
Decisions, decisions... with a 50/50 shot of being right. Well, if I go out this round, I won't feel too bad when it's with one of my favorites on WiiU. Let's go with Super Smash Brothers.

4
I'm going to make my choice Yoshi's Woolly World.

5
I'm going to stick with Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker as my choice.

6
I'll make my choice Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Aw, I was looking forward to seeing if TofuFury could pull off a legendary upset and play a perfect game using his whoring to vote off the Godfather each remaining day.

I wouldn't have. I had my target set on you for the next round, which would've protected Stratos (though I had my sights set on him as well). I should've stuck with my gut and original votes for most of this game, but I can't be upset when there was no way for the town to confirm anything with night actions.

Congrats to the mafia for their win. When our detective was taken out so early, I had a strong feeling this would be the end result. As Picard, though, I had to keep trying and do what I could. I think the game was definitely over after the weekend break, based on voting participation. I have to give credit to Silenced, though, he played an excellent game.

With my role, I played a defensive game to minimize the threat of the borg. While I'm sure that disappointed Khush, lolmonade, and anyone hoping to see some borg chaos, I feel I made the right call, even with a town loss.

Hey, a wild Stogi appears!

This is a tough round. I'm in agreement with everyone that the lack of participation has made this game much more difficult than it should be. Is it really over the Borg threat?

I don't know where I fall on the Silenced Versus lolmonade debate. On one hand, lolmonade did go deep on the defensive when he was accused of being mafia. On the other hand, Silenced has been weaving a constant narrative through the game, throwing blame on others while appearing innocent and helpful. I don't know if he really had an alliance with Mop, Perm, etc, because I could say I had one, too. Then again, they both could be townies and we have it all wrong.

Now I'm doubting about my earlier suspicions with stevey. I don't see why someone on the mafia side would vote for their own when both members are in danger, so I'm giving stevey a pass for now.

I guess I'm changing my vote lolmonade, and hoping I didn't just throw the game away.

Sorry, I'm not sure how much I can post today, so I'm going to get my vote in now.

I'm voting for Stevey. Stevey's remained visible through most of the game, but not in a way to make waves. I'm willing to hear his side, but he's my guess for this round.

**Okay, now I'm not so sure Stevey's mafia, based on how things are going.

Well, I'm glad that I didn't have my original pick finish me off. I choose Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

You know, I get where your logic is coming from, TofuFury, but I could also be accused of being mafia if I didn't vote last night, being as I voted every night so far this game. So I'm kinda stuck in this situation. I've tried to faithfully follow the townie voting pattern being as I don't have a lot of free time, and I also don't want my stray vote activating the borg. I was pretty much following Mop it up's vote, but now she's gone.

Those are absolutely fair points. You can only do so much when real life gets in the way. I still stand my concerns I listed, but for now I will vote with the majority. I acted out of impulse, mainly because I wasn't sure if I wouldn't be able to vote today.

While I will remove my vote for Stratos, I still have a check about that last minute vote.

I'm voting Nickmitch with the majority. I think what Silenced said about focusing on lurkers makes sense. Players shouldn't be punished for playing the game.

Well, thank goodness the townies managed to take down one of the mafia members. Hopefully we can get on a roll and keep going with it. I'll admit I didn't listen and for Insano, but good job to the ones who did.

I'm not sure how much time I'll have to post tomorrow, so I'll get my vote in now. While I'm still not sure about Silenced, he was right in pointing towards Insano.

I'm going to vote Stratos for now. While he did vote for Insanolord, it's an effective strategy for mafia members to vote out their own at the last minute when the vote works against them. Certainly there's at least one Mafia member hanging back, but we also have to expect some voting participation from some of the active players. I'm open to other suggestions, but I'm going with my gut for now.

Was there any reason to vote out those 2 townies?

I don't like how some people are more than eager to start bandwagons with nothing.

To be fair, I was just trying to point out reasons why everyone playing might/might not be Mafia, so I had to include everyone. I wasn't out to point fingers at you, more like pointing fingers at everyone (including myself).

I voted for Pokepal on a whim, since I'd at least like to vote and give people a reason to/not to trust me. Not saying you have to play that way, but this is how I'm choosing to at the moment. And then I voted for Top simply because he had votes against him, and I was up for elimination. At that point, it could've been anyone in that spot.

So we're looking at the vote coming down to this (if I'm adding everything up correctly.

Silenced- 1 (me)
TofuFury- 1 (Silenced)
Insanolord- 2 (Perm, and Mop it up)

I'm a bit surprised at the low vote turnout, considering whats at stake at the moment. I'm not ready to switch my vote from Silenced to Insano, as I still have my doubts about him being Mafia. Yet at this point, almost anyone is a good voting choice, as the leads are thin.

Fair enough assertion. But if I wasn't active this game would have been dead silent.

Whenever Khush doesn't play, there's just a void that needs to be filled. I've been trying to build an alliance thus far and try and get things started, because otherwise the town might not be active and united. I did point towards a vote yesterday, but that was based off of my bare intuition and working with little material.

I understand that, and see your point. But I also know I'm not mafia, and since we've lost our detective I'm the only one I can be certain about for the rest of this game. I'm willing to change my vote if there's someone else we both can come to an agreement on. Until then, I have to keep my vote as is, but I'm listening.

Well TofuFury and Lolmonade have ganged up on me. For no reason.  TofuFury did not vote until late on day 2. Which is something a mafia boss would do to keep attention away from themselves. When he did vote, the person he eliminated was a townie.

I did vote on Day 1 as the second vote for Pokepal.

Warning: Incoming block of text.

Alright, so I’m not surprised I have some votes against me today. I decided to do a throwaway vote to ThePerm (which I am removing) right after the round started as a way to help kickstart voting early.
Before we begin, let’s take a look at how the votes went down the past two rounds.

Round 1:
Pokepal- (Tofu, Silenced)
Stratos- (Pokepal)
ThePerm- (Mop)
Lucario- (Lolmonade)
Mop it up- (Stratos)
Posted, but didn’t vote: Stevey, Lucario, nickmitch, insanolord, ThePerm
MIA: Dasmos, Stogi

Round 2:
Top- (Silenced, ShyGuy, Tofu)
TofuFury- (Top, Stratos)
Mop it up- (ThePerm, Stogi)
Stratos- [Mop it up (via vote changer)]
Posted, but didn’t vote: Insanolord, Stevey
MIA: Lucario, Lolmonade, nickmitch, Dasmos

So far, only one player has yet to post in a round (Dasmos), and two have made an effort to post every round and appear active, but have yet to cast a vote (Stevey, Insanolord), and Lucario posted in the day one thread, but has yet to vote. Also, two players (Silenced and myself) have both contributed to the deaths of every eliminated player so far. Take what you will from it.

We also have the Borg threat looming in the background. We don’t know if the Queen has been activated yet due to our voting. While the obvious strategy is to limit our voting to as few members as possible, this also gives the Mafia an advantage. If they can act early, throw out a vote, and get people to bandwagon out of fear of the Borg, then they control who we vote out. As dangerous as the Borg threat is, we can’t allow it to completely dictate our voting choices.

I’ll list the remaining players out, bold the names of players with previous votes against them, and list a few thoughts of my own. These are just my general opinions at the moment about the game and are subject to change.

TofuFury- Man of mystery. While Silenced has accused me of being inactive, I’ve voted in every round so far. I tend to hold my cards to my chest a bit and observe while I get a feel for each Mafia game. You can choose to believe that or not, but that’s how I play.
Silenced- We’ve both voted for the eliminated player in every round so far. That happens sometimes, and he could very well be innocent. He’s been very proactive in voting early and getting targets on other people, which is a perfect strategy for the mafia.
Stogi- Stogi is much more reserved this game compared to other Mafia games. He’s dared people to vote for him in the past as part of his strategy. Is he telling the truth this time, or is it another bluff?
Stevey- Stevey has yet to vote in a round, but remains active in the threads. We know he’s paying attention, but is it due to being mafia?
Mop it up- I gave Mop the benefit of the doubt yesterday when I had to choose between Top and Mop. Obviously that didn’t turn out too well, but Mop could have one of the town roles, too, so it’s hard to say.
Stratos- Has voted in every round so far. Could be mafia, but it’s still early to tell.
Lucario- Lucario has been oddly quiet this game. Is it because he’s mafia and wants to keep his head down? Hard to say at the moment.
ThePerm- Active, and asserts that he’s a townie. While I voted for him earlier today, I’m taking it back for now.
Insanolord- Has yet to vote, but this isn’t out of the ordinary for him from previous games.
Lolmonade- Missed round two, but other than that, it’s hard to say.
Nickmitch- Posted in the first round, but has yet to make any votes. It’s not out of the ordinary for him to miss a round.
Dasmos- Has yet to make an appearance. Could be in order to go deep into the game without making any waves as Mafia.

So with that out of the way, I’m going to take a gamble and Vote Silenced. This isn’t as much of a reactionary vote, but you’ve been guiding the game so far. You could be innocent, and I’m willing to hear an argument otherwise, but right now I’m taking my chances with this.

Well, that's not good. Sorry Top, but in my defense, I was on the verge of being eliminated.

I'm going to Vote Perm for now, since he had a previous vote, and see how the round plays out.

Note: My vote has changed.

Khushrenada could have everyone send him what they think is the bomb word, and reveal who picked what when one of the three of us blows up.

Well, I sign on to find out I'm in danger in both Safe Words AND Mafia. What is the world coming to?

In order to save myself, and honestly, no other strategy beyond that at the moment. I'm voting for Tophatant for now.

20
Throwing out random votes is a good way to activate the Borg Queen. We should try to limit the voting down to one or two individuals per day and unvote anyone that doesn't seem to have a chance at being bandwagon'ed before the end of day.

Yes to this 100%.

We're already spreading our votes out too much for the first day. Right now, we have five different players with votes cast against them. That's crazy. If we activate the Borg Queen on Day One, it's going to be a very difficult game for any party to win. We need to keep our selections down to two people per round, even if it puts us at risk with the Mafia.

Day one votes are always a gamble, as there's not much to go on. I'm going to vote for Pokepal, only because he has a vote against him, and I don't want to spread out the vote further.

[/size]Still torn on an avatar, love your's Tofufury!

Thanks Stratos! Animaniacs was the best.

21
Had a bit of trouble coming up with an avatar for this game. While I appreciate the Star Trek universe, it's just not a series I'm all that familiar with.

Then I remembered the great Animaniacs episode where Yakko, Wakko, and Dot visit the Original Series. Problem solved. Poor Scottie.

22
I'm up for another round, as long as there's still time to sign up.

23
I accidentally missed the last one, but I'm in for this game.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but thanks for a fun first Safe Words game Khushrenada. I had fun with it, and will definitely play in future games.

Before I begin my thoughts on the game, thanks for everyone that has given me props. After walking away from the win in Animal Kingdom, and having my mafia team get picked off at the end of Sonic mafia, I feel much better about my mafia game. I came back to mafia to eventually win one of these games, so I'll always remember this one.

First of all, Lucario, I know some things probably didn't go as planned as you hoped for the game, but I have to give props to anyone who runs these games. The Waluigi theme made for some very entertaining posts from everyone, and it brought me many hours of entertainment. Keep hosting, learn what you can from this game, and make the next one even better.

I know I was extremely lucky with my investigations this game. Literally every pick I made was a role. Had I not chosen Stratos for Day 4, I was going to pick Insanolord. Sometimes the game gives you a break, and that's what happened to me.

I could not have done as well as I did without my two partners, Khushrenada and Mop It Up. Khush is a wealth of information, and I appreciated gleaning what I could from him. His insight helped me focus my investigation, and that's how we were so successful. He also played the main force of the social game. It's not easy for me to reach out to people, and Khush stepped up and not only acted as my shield, but also helped us swing votes to go the ways we needed. Likewise, Mop had some great insight and always backed us up.

I also have to give props to the townies for eliminating the killers on the first two days. I had no hand in them, and both killers could've changed how this game played out. We couldn't have done it without your help. In addition, thanks to Silenced for believing my PM and trusting me on the final round. While it seemed certain we were going to win, having his vote helped solidify the end of the game.

Finally, I have to hand it to the Mafia as well. None of you were eliminated from obvious mistakes. Like for Stratos, I only checked on him because I wanted to add him into the alliance. Just because the game ended so soon doesn't mean you played poorly.

Great game everyone!
