Data corrupted error during Wii U game installation
« on: November 14, 2013, 06:48:44 AM »
I am trying to download that Wii Fit U trial for a week now.

It fails on installing. Sometimes it says error 105-3155, sometimes it's something else, but either way i have to delete the data and download it all over again.

I think i downloaded this game five times by now.

It could have something to do with my hard drive setup -- the one i have is just old-ass IDE drive with cheapo USB converter attached.

I would guess that it's your hard drive. The fact that it's IDE means it's pretty old.

But i had successfully installed Wonderful 101 and it worked and still works fine on it.

W101 is twice as big as Wii Fit U download (10Gb vs 4.7 Gb).

Could be hitting bad sectors now though. The whole thing doesn't have to be bad...you could try doing a full format in Windows or something (obviously losing anything that's on it).

Yeah, it could very well be.

Wouldn't format in Windows be useless because Wii U uses it's own file system? Maybe i will have to use low formatting tool...

Yeah that's what I meant. Even a format and chkdsk in Windows might work. It could always be an issue with the Nintendo eShop too I guess.

I've finally gave up and used 14 Gb SD card to download and install Wii Fit U.

Nintendo service kept saying that the problem lies in my wireless connection despite me repeating that the problem occurs during the installation not downloading. Ah well.

After installing it on SD Card i just copied it to hard drive.

Then i did the same with W101, and it was surprising i was able to do that because i thought you'd need 10Gb to download the game and then yet another 10Gb to install it. But nope -- game installed and fit fine on 14Gb.
