The thing is, those icons are borderline useless, regardless of what they are. The way our forums are set up, 99% of the threads in Handheld Discussion these days are going to be about the 3DS, so having the icon say 3DS is just as meaningless as the current setup.

That's just a sample, I'm thinking like 30-40 tags would be good. Like [RACING] or [CAPCOM] or whatever, and some silly ones thrown in too. They're actually quite fun and useful on a certain other, more popular forum that I spend more time on.

Really you should be trying to mix things up on your super stagnant forum. There's a new system out and things are still pretty dead!

I mean, if you could sort by them and find related things (assuming people properly used them, which, based on similar experiences I've had, doesn't seem likely) that would be cool, but I have no idea if any of this is possible.

I should probably also let you know that they never gave me admin powers on the forums, so I can't do any of the things you've proposed even if I wanted to. I'm really more of a figure head distracting people from the tyrannical dictator Crimm.

rumor, news, speculation, review, preview, blog/editorial

those, and the ones SUPER posted above, would be really useful in the talk back section where different systems and topics are all lumped together in one section.
