I hope it gets delayed until 2014. Nintendo should have released the Wii U in 2011, but they didn't, so they need the extra time to grab the marketshare before competition shows up.

Not all cops are bad. A month or so ago when a gunman was shooting up a Sikh temple it was a cop who put a stop to it, even though he himself was badly wounded in the process. And that's just one example. Every day cops are putting their lives on the line to save people and do what's right. Sure there are bad ones, but all I'm saying is there are good ones as well.

As for those other professions, I'm not sure. There MAY be a few good examples here and there...

Considering the sorts of droughts Nintendo consoles are notorious for, how could that even be possible? This was the reason why NP had to resort to so much "filler" content such as comics and stuff like that. Don't get me wrong, that stuff was cool, but the reason they resorted to that is because for the last 15 years or so 3rd party support has been sparse and sometimes that goes for first party offerings as well. So if that's the case and you are a Nintendo magazine, what else can you do if there is nothing to report on?

I shave because facial hair itches and also I have a problem with dandruff. Its bad enough dealing with dandruff on my head, but I shouldn't have to deal with it on my face either... and thanks to shaving I don't.

Game Informer is still in print because it's a monthly advertisement for GameStop.

Same reason whatever the name of that Best Buy magazine is exists.

But Nintendo Power is (or was) basically a monthly advertisement for Nintendo. That wasn't enough to save it, obviously.

The thing you need to realize is that Republicans and Democrats are AUTOMATICALLY on the ballot in every state and they don't have to spend any money or make any effort to do it. Third parties on the other hand have to fight tooth and nail just to even get on the ballots, and there is at least one state I know of which doesn't even allow third parties period. I think that state is Oklahoma or Kansas, but I'm not sure. So no matter what no third party could ever get on the ballot in that state because they don't allow it under any circumstances.

And third parties also do not get public funding from taxpayers the way that the two parties do. Third parties have far less resources because they rely completely on private donations, and the problem is they have to use every bit of money they have just to get on the ballots. Once they've done that (if they are even able to) there is very little money left over for campaigning.

The reason why Ross Perot did so well 20 years ago is because he is a billionaire and he funded his campaign mostly by himself, but after that they have changed the rules with campaign finance reform laws. So now it would be impossible for someone to do what Ross Perot did ever again. If some billionaire decided to run for president they would be limited in how much they could spend on their campaign so they would never be able to break into the success that Perot did. The Democrats and Republicans didn't like what Perot was able to do and it scared them, so since then they changed the rules to block it from ever happening again.

It makes no sense to have people participate if they have no chance at winning.

But that is a catch-22 because in order to have a chance of winning you have to first be in the debates. But the debates are a joke anyway. They are controlled by the two parties and designed specifically to lock out third parties and prevent them from ever having a chance. The whole election system is stacked in favor of the two party system.

I also don't see why it should be funded by tax payers. Not everyone is a democrat or republican. Why should they have to fund these two parties if they don't support them?

Agreed. I love my 3DS and my Wii, but the Wii U gives us the best of both worlds.

It doesn't give you the 3DS' ability to play games on a bus or on the go. You have to be within a certain distance of the console or else it won't work. So essentially its like playing a handheld but without the portability, which is the main advantage a handheld has.

Miyamoto did say he could make a great FPS if he wanted to. I wouldn't mind seeing him put his money where his mouth is.

What he actually said was he had an interest in doing a first person perspective game. But it would be more about exploring an open world and wouldn't involve guns or shooting people, so it would be an FPS but minus the S.

But Nintendo really should make an FPS franchise of their own because this is the one genre they are completely lacking and missing from their franchise repertoire, and also this one is very important because it is extremely popular in the west. Ignoring a genre is fine if its a niche genre, but FPS is like THE biggest genre out there today. Its a hell of a thing to ignore, but that's exactly what Nintendo is doing. They should try to get in on this gravy train.

Maybe, but isn't it good to have the other one as a backup in case the other one fails? I think we would all live longer if we had two hearts. We only have one, and then when it fails you die instantly. On the other hand, the Kidney is a less critical organ but we have two of them. Why is that?

I prefer to play most things on a handheld. That's why I really want the Vita to turn things around and be successful. But the Wii U is just perfect, because it gives me both options. I almost exclusively play my handhelds at home, so being restricted in range from the console is no problem for me.

Why would you prefer to play on a tiny ass screen if you could play it on a huge ass screen instead? That makes no sense to me, but to each their own...

Isn't it possible to use Wine or whatever to be able to play Windoze games on Mac? You can do that on Linux. Why pay for Windows when you can get Linux plus wine for free and it does the same thing?

Native gaming on Linux is almost non-existent, but thanks to Wine it is possible to play anything on Linux that can be played on Windoze. I would assume this probably goes for Mac as well.

Yeah, you are right about the cameras. It didn't bother me because I wasn't even thinking about that. If you think about it your enjoyment of it will be ruined, but just like when you are watching a movie you have to suspend your disbelief.

WTF? Windows is about as unopen as it comes. Same with Mac OSX. Android and Linux and FreeBSD and so on are the only open systems I'm aware of.

What made it seem more fake than usual? I don't recall anything that couldn't have theoretically been real. There was no painted tunnel or anything like that. Sting and Hulk were abducted and taken to A&8s club and roughed up a bit. Stuff like that can theoretically happen in real life.

Wouldn't it be cool if the leader of Aces & Eights turns out to be Christy Hemme? No one would expect that. Everyone automatically assumes the leader is going to be a male, so if it turns out to be a female it would blow everyone's mind. Or what if its Tara?

Both Tara and Christy Hemme are fans of motorcycles IRL and Aces and Eights is a Motorcycle gang, so they would fit right in. Even if they aren't the leader, they could still be members of it. Especially Tara, because of her recent Heel turn.
