Apparently you can get 60 Club Nintendo coins for downloading even just the free part of it. It may just be an oversight by Nintendo and could be changed, but I would suggest that anyone with a Wii U download the game even if you have no interest in the game (just so you can get 60 coins).

I never got this survey. Was this eventually revealed te been a mistake?

I'm pretty sure I've played something like this as a Flash game, it seems it should have stayed in that "medium".

Which is a crying shame because Kinder eggs are delicious! Seriously, everyone should come to Canada and try some.

Though apparently to make a request, I should actually have made an account on the wiki. Account created, request made. Now we play the waiting game.

Heading out after work to the (very far away) mall in town whose EB Games will be open the earliest that day and waiting it out, hopefully get some tips from my coworker who was the first in line for the iPhone 5 a few months ago XD

Yeah that'll be what I do... once they accept my application to join the forums :S

I only made 3 virtual purchases on the Wii one of which was Pokémon Ranch, not being able to connect that to my DS or, perhaps even, bring it back to my Wii could cause problems... not that I can find my Diamond game anyways :/

Thanks a lot! Although they don't seem to have Punch Out which was another one I was really hoping to get.

Hypothetically, if someone were to have only now decided to follow some of the years-old sagely advice of this thread, in what magical corner of the internet would they go to be able to print out a game cover?

37
Is it safe to assume that the Wii U will still be able to connect to DSes when it's in Wii mode and the games require it?

38
It's really a shame that these get taken down so much

They make anti-3D glasses too, don't they?

I never knew they existed. It's extremely stupid though. I have to pay more to see it, only to pay again for glasses to cancel out the 3D effect.

They're really easy to make yourself if you can get your hands on 2 pairs of 3D glasses.  Of course it really would be a waste to pay for the movie in 3D then cancel it out for yourself.

I know part of the reasoning behind my NSMB experiments was the hope that they would re-release 3D Land this way and I wouldn't have to switch out the cartridge every time I streetpassed 3 people.

It's actually quite good. Though Shia's performance is probably his best ever, he's still only manages to be pretty good.  The real reason to watch is Tom "Bane" Hardy as his older brother and a bit part by Gary Oldman.

My experiences with both versions of NSMB2 seem to show that save files certainly don't transfer over and the Street Pass data only works on the first copy you open.

What are the odds that an official binder like this be released in North America? Or should I talk to some of my contacts in the UK?

Couple of days later the survey option appears. I suppose a real part question was whether I was supposed to get coins just for downloading it or if I needed to wait for the survey. Looking like the answer is no and I'm guessing it would be like that for all Virtual Console?

General Gaming / Club Nintendo question

Recently, I made my first actual purchase on the eShop (Super Mario Land 2 on sale FTW :D) and havent gotten any purchase coins/survey options for it yet.  Should I have?  I had originally had problems getting my free downloads to register, but a strongly worded (OK not really :P) email fixed that.  Since then, I've gotten coins and surveys from a few more free downloads and they all appeared on my list of products (as did SML2).  Any tips?

Huge news

So the Wii games that I didn't register are dropping dramatically in value while the handful of DS games that I have registered are mostly increasing!  :@

And I already have 520 points...  :'(

Moral of the story kids, don't do in January what can be put off till June, Big Business can and will screw you over... in two seperate ways... in one fell swoop...

Whew, just read this entire thread while bored XD

Did I see something about software downloaded before linking the account with your console not counting? Because that kinda sucks and seems to work against the way they present it in their FAQs.

[...]

To return to my original point, I downloaded PokéDex 3D, SwapNote, Four Swords, and Nintendo Video before linking (or even creating) my account.  Were any of those worth coins that are lost to me? Can I get them be re-downloading the games? Will I have to restart Four Swords or my PokéDex?

So if anyone was wondering if I got any of this fixed, I finally sent a little email to Nintendo customer service the other day:

[...] Club Nintendo and 3DS username MisterE13. I have not purchased any DSiWare or 3DS exclusive software. As a result, I was not aware that I may have missed the opportunity to earn Club Nintendo coins by owning and completing surveys coins for the software that I have downloaded for free. While completing other surveys, I noticed information about coins available for those who downloaded Nintendo Video. The option to fill out a survey for that software was never available to me on Club Nintendo, nor were any coins awarded to me for downloading it or any other software. This has caused me to question whether I've missed this opportunity, and perhaps others, to let my voice be heard and help improve the Nintendo games of the future. Of note, I have also downloaded The Legend of Zelda Four Swords-Anniversary Edition, Pokédex 3D, and SwapNote, as well as all the e-Shop demos (though I doubt the demos are applicable for surveys).

I would be very grateful for any help you could provide with retrieving any surveys/coins which are due to me (if such a thing would even be possible). I would be able to provide receipt numbers upon request for anything that would be of use.

Thank you in advance

Thanks for contacting us. Using the information you provided, I was able to locate your Club Nintendo account and add all of the apps and games that are eligible to be added to your list of registered products. You will see the updated data when you log in to your Club Nintendo account.

Please note that eligible applications or Virtual Console games will generate only a Post-Play Survey, which will appear on your To-Do list seven days after the game is registered. When registering the Netflix application, a Product Registration Survey will appear right away. Post Play Surveys expire 120 days after the game's original registration. Product Registration surveys expire seven days after the registration date. Please review the date listed next to the survey in your To-Do list to ensure that you take the survey before it expires.

So 10 coins each for Nintendo Video and Pokédex 3D get! :D

Nintendo Gaming / Re: 3DS scratches
« on: May 25, 2012, 11:27:57 AM »
I would still get a protector for the lower screen to prevent any scratches from over-enthusiastic stylus scratching.

I used a DSPhat for the 6-7 years of it was relevant (including all 3 Pokémon Rangers) without causing irreparable damage.  Will the 3DS be giving me more problems than that?

Edit: I had a gift card to use so i bought a 10$ DSi XL kit that came with an aluminium case (that won't be used) and a set of screen protectors that I'll just trim down to 3DS sizes.

A lot cheaper than the "3DS starter kit"... less useless stuff too XD

Nintendo Gaming / 3DS scratches
« on: May 24, 2012, 01:44:30 AM »
I too am starting to fall prey to the epidemic of the raised touchscreen induced scratches. I've considered buying my first ever handheld protection kit with a screen protector to combat this but an employee (manager?) at a local EB Games doesn't think that it would fix the problem as the "scratches" are mostly caused by pressure between the two halves of the console.

Are these going to get a lot worse? Should a screen protector help me out? Any other suggestions?
