I likely will buy a Wii U for Zelda and X as well. I'll probably plunk down for Smash and Mario 3D World and Hyrule Warriors when I can find them for the right price for me as well.

I'm waiting for the *NEW* Nintendo Wii U with upgraded specs, faster UI and exclusive games that I can now play at the same time as the versions that released on other consoles not named Wii U.

Some dude worked as a programmer on Headstrong Games for a year, put "Unannounced Wii U game" in his LinkedIn profile, and the internet found him.

I'm guessing it's the Art Academy game that hasn't come out yet.

It almost looks like he deleted the last part because he was insinuating it was "weird" to own a Wii U. If I worked for a company who worked almost exclusively for Nintendo it probably wouldn't be the smartest move to insult their products and their user base by calling them weird.

But hey, it could be a sign that they're working on Wii U too. Next Level have a pretty good track record of late, so I'm keen.

I think dude was just so pumped to be working in the industry for the first time that he didn't initially think his post could me misconstrued as something negative. Instead, people now interpreted as him saying he was working on a Wii U game.

I thought Next Level basically said they were only working with Nintendo now, because most everything they've done that wasn't published by Nintendo has been complete garbage. I just kind of assumed they were doing something for them.

They are pretty much a 2nd party studio for Nintendo. That's what I got out of this article on Gamasutra.

No surprise if they are making a Wii U game. Lots of possibilities just based on previous games they have worked on for Nintendo.

Maybe a Luigi's Mansion game with the Gamepad acting as a ghost detector similar to how the "Gameboy Horror" was used in the original?

It's been two years since their last release so I'm sure they're working on something that will be revealed at E3 most likely. A new Mario Strikers seems like a real possibility, especially since it would go with Nintendo's statement about releasing more Mario and franchise games on the Wii U, and this would be a lower-budget game. I wouldn't be surprised if they're making some other Mario spin-off either. They could also be working on another series revival similar to Punch-Out!! and Luigi's Mansion, though for some reason I find that less likely.

Wouldn't an Animal Crossing for Wii U be a better fit than some random Mario Sports title? There is plenty of Mario to go around on Wii U, as little as I care for Animal Crossing I think even that would be better at this point than anything remotely Mario related for a while.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think Animal Crossing is going to be a big reveal at E3 this year. I hate to admit it because I don't care for that series at all and I'd rather they work on anything BUT Animal Crossing.

EAD2 (i think it's 2) is a dedicated Animal Crossing studio, and them doing/not doing the next Animal Crossing has zero effect on other studios.

I don't follow the different studios so I don't know who makes what all I know is if someone is making a new game for Wii U to release this year Animal Crossing is a likely top candidate.

As for what this mystery game might be, I would put my money on HD remake.
