Switch needs better games to win people over. The library is drowning is ports and cell phone made garbage. 300 bucks is not cheap for a portable. A revision and a price drop will help. As for BC with 3ds that will never happen as switch is one screen not two.

The whole "we pushed the 3DS to its limits so we're not doing anything more with it" is just a lame excuse. The N3DS has 4x more processing power than the O3DS, so to say that an O3DS game pushed the N3DS to it's limits doesn't fly. I don't know what the real reason is (we can speculate), but unless there's a N3DS-only PM game, they can't say they pushed it to its technical limits

(links awakening switch) looks like a 3ds game, you could have put a dwongraded port for 3ds.
