Title: Club Nintendo OoT CD offer problem
Post by: Pajamas on June 19, 2011, 11:02:26 AM
I registered the game this morning, and according to Club Nintendo's site, after you register the game, a screen will appear asking you to accept this CD offer. Well, this never happened to me, and from what I can see on the internet, many others are having problems as well. I'm wondering if it is an issue with an ad blocking extension on my browser, but who knows. I'm actually on the phone with Nintendo's support service trying to rectify the situation as I type this. They tell me that it is an issue that they are aware of. If you have this kind of problem as well, I would call them at 1-800-255-3700. Go through the menu's until you can talk to a representative. Good luck everyone!

No need to navigate through the menus, just hit Zero twice.

Had the same problem. :(

I don't understand what you mean by "hit zero twice"

Derp, I'm an idiot. I thought you were talking about the site. Duh me.

lol... Yeah, talking about when you call in.  None of the menu choices relate directly to Club Nintendo, so I'd recommend just pushing Zero (on the phone :D) twice to get to a basic CS rep.  The one I got was very helpful... apparently, some people are getting reps that... aren't as helpful.

The same thing happened to me, I sent an email about it.

Same thing happened to me. I called the Nintendo phone line and a recording told me that the call volume is currently too high so I had to call back later. I'll try the "zero, zero" thing next
pretty sucky, Nintendo

Got through to a nice gentleman in Redmond. Someone will get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. No guarantee that I will get the soundtrack
:-(

Here's an update for you guys. I just logged on to my Club Nintendo page, and near the bottom where it says "Reward Order Inquiry", it shows that I have the OoT cd on back order. Not a whole lot of info there and I'm not sure if it means much right now, but it could be that I've got a copy reserved until they straighten this mess out. Might want to check your own pages and see.

Just registered the game and came straight to the forums when I didn't see anything about the soundtrack. I'm hoping they didn't run out, but I'll try to call a bit later.

Hopefully this will be resolved by Tuesday, when I get my copy of the game.

Just got off the phone with a rep. She said I can expect to be contacted in 2-3 business days. She asked what time I registered the game, so there might be a cut off.

The site says that you have until midnight on the 20th to register to get the CD (I'm assuming that means Monday night and not a few hours from now).  You may want to pick one up at a store and then return your Amazon copy. Sucks for people who ordered online and won't even see that until they get it. =/

Same happened to me. I sent an email, but still haven't gotten a response. I'll be pretty pissed if I get screwed out of a copy since I bought and registered the game yesterday with the specific intent of getting the soundtrack.

That sucks, folks. I bought my copy yesterday afternoon and registered it straightway without any issues and got the pop up offer for the OST. I too was using Google Chrome when I did it. The site said that the cd would ship during the week of July 5th. I hope everyone here who wants the soundtrack gets it.

My Wife won't let  me go ahead and buy the game for the soundtrack... even though I'll probably get it 3 years from now for my Son and it will still be the same price. (6 is old enough to play OoT right...)

Alright, I called and they fixed up the order for me over the phone. We're good.

That being said, the game really looks gorgeous. They did a great job and I'm looking forward to taking on the Master Quest once Chessa finishes up with the main quest. I tried to enter my name as Zelda to see if it automatically unlocked the Master Quest, but no such luck. Oh well...

The nice thing about calling Nintendo is that when you are on hold, the only music that ever matters when being put on hold starts to play.

Just called Nintendo, the lady helped me very quickly. Lv100 people skills FTW, badabingbadaboom!

Who does not have the game but wants this blasted CD? my bro and I bought a zelda 3d each, so I have an extra code that cant be used for my account.

Can you hook me up?  I got the game online as my friend ordered it, however UPS won't deliver it until tuesday, and I'm afraid I'll miss out due to the cut off date. The CD looks killer.

Damn you 3day UPS *Shakes Fist*

I love you for posting that.  That really was you snooze you lose.  My friend and I got to our Funcoland shortly after they opened on the 24th and were the first ones on the list and paid for the entire thing.  It was a good thing too 'cause they ended up getting a lot less gold carts than they had pre-orders.  Thank god the 24th was a Saturday.

I wanted to Pre-Order for the Gold Cart but for some reason I couldn't.  Its been so long ago.  I know I wasn't making my own money yet.

Sorry Mystic Gohan.

God effing dammit. The CD offer didn't pop up for me, either. Now I have to call somebody tomorrow? WTF, Nintendo?

I don't think the CD offer pops up at all now.  I believe they rigged the site so that everyone who registers (in the time frame) will get the CD.

Check our Reward Order Inquiry on Club Nintendo and see if the CD is listed, Uncle Bob is right, nothing says anything about a popup any more.

Yeah, it just appeared in my reward inquiry today, I believe. It says it is backordered though, so I'm guessing everyone who wasn't one of the first ones to register won't be receiving it for some time, probably a month or more is what I'm expecting. But at least we're getting some!

No, it just shows up for everybody as backordered. They still need to know how many CDs they need. Now that they should have a final tally, they can order and distribute the discs by order number. The higher your number the longer you wait.

It originally said "while supplies last," which would seem to indicate that they printed up a certain number of them but then decided to make more.
