Wrong. Nintendo failed its tradition of bringing new, innovative franchises to the table, with not much to show outside of Pikmin/Animal Crossing for the past decade. Armadas of rehashes populate the Blue Ocean, made more noticeable by Brawl.
It's Nintendo's fault for not delivering new gaming experiences starring leading Grandmas.

I have added language specifically prohibiting any attempt to impersonate a mod/admin/staff member. It should go without saying, but apparently some people need things like this to be spelled out. We can't have new people coming to the forums and thinking some of you clowns are moderators -- they won't have had any exposure to your weird sense of humor or light-hearted hazing.

this thread was the stickied rules thread in announcements, super was the original poster so he edited it into this monstrosity...(and it was banished into the funhouse) if you ask me he should have thrown in the quote monster...

Way to swallow Samsung dogma. The Galaxy S was indistinguishable from the iPhone 3GS, down to the metal bevel. Hell they even abbreviate the same. If anyone was still siding with Samsung after the point in the trial where ex Samsung employees provided evidence of Samsung management saying flat out "we should copy the iPhone, that looks like an easy design to follow" then they are beyond deluded.

Let's look at the facts. All S-U-P-E-R did was edit one of his own posts. It's not like he edited someone else's post. Even in the rules that have been reposted, there's nothing there about not being able to re-edit one's posts. Since when is that a crime? What? Are we not allowed to edit anything anymore? Big brother is going to determine what we can and can't say?
And if you are going to argue that it is because he edited a post that was used for explaining forum behaviour, I would like to point out that he isn't even on staff so it was extremely neglegent of the current staff to use someone else's postings like that instead of actually using a post from staff. Heck, Svevan could theoretically come back some day and re-edit some of his stuff and cause some chaos too. Why? Because the forums have been left exposed to this. Even BlackNMild2k1 has a post about how to use these forums properly. He could easily change it up one day also. This is what happens when the staff rely on the forum users to do things instead of themselves. Yet, when the forum users do something they don't like, they turn on them. Can't have it both ways now guys. Frankly, S-U-P-E-R should be getting some commendation for exposing such a potential problem in the forums.

yes but have the mods stated it would be 7 days, i suspect he was gone for 10 and he said 7 to cause more trouble
@Khushrenada i also learned a month ago that if a thread is locked the original poster can still put up polls no problem, don't think they fixed that either although it isn't as big an issue

Yet, according to you, he was somehow supposed to know that one day he would want to change his post in the future for an event that hadn't occurred in order to make a statement and get the staff's attention on it and before any of that happened, it was his responsibility to get the staff's attention to fix this potential problem to prevent him from making any such edit that he hadn't thought of and tell them how to do their job and make them aware of this error of what was a non-issue at the time?!?! Really?!?!
And therefore, by your reasoning, he was banned because he just did that! At this point, it is clear that my client is being maliciously and unfairly treated by members of the moderation community. Unless these baseless and foul actions are ended immediately, we will begin proceedings to sue NWR for its terrible, terrible injustices. We may have to even take this matter up with the International Criminal Court for these crimes against humanity.
I would also suggest people start reporting every moderator post to the moderators as a sign of your displeasure with their actions handling this affair and overwhelm there moderation center with their own actions.

The rules allow me to ban people for any reason, which I'm assuming includes annoying the Community Manager.
Ha ha. The British imprisoned Ghandi as well because he annoyed them and that didn't work out for them. I haven't even come close to the civil disobedience he displayed. A show of force would probably not go over well.
Besides, if I can come up with outrageous arguements on this issue, why can't anyone else on the opposite side of the issue? I'm beginning to think it might be because what I'm saying is right and the reason people are bothered is because of that. Or am I wrong?

If it had stayed contained in the Funhouse, I'd be inclined to agree with you. But when it spills over into other parts of the forums, going as far as Talkback, something has to be done. As far as I know, no one has been permanently banned, and these are simply temporary warnings for unacceptable behavior.

Again, as we've pointed out before, you have had SEVERAL posts that have been reported. The VAST majority of times, those reports are closed without action because we (or I) don't like to punish people simply for saying something that someone else disagrees with.
If you want left out of this, then don't pop in making uninformed negative attacks on any other posters regarding the situation, eh?
As for Khush, yes, he was involved in editing titles of threads to where they were against the rules ("Thread titles should clearly indicate the content of the post.") with the purpose of disrupting the forums - outside of the Funhouse.
I've said it before - I don't like banning people and won't be a part of banning someone simply because I disagree with their opinion, no matter how wrong or stupid it is. But if you're actively working to disrupt the forums, then yes, you will be banned.

Well, I'm going to start off first by making an apology to the moderators. The goal of yesterday's "protest" was meant to be a fun little diversion for the other forumgoers. Sort of like how sometimes we'll all start to adopt a similar avatar or something like Lettuce Cat is so last week. Mock me for being behind the times.. I'll talk more about it in the Real Talk thread. However, it was only meant to be an annoyance to the staff. I knew there was a chance that some banning could happen but I thought there might be a post or something in the funhouse first giving a warning to change things back or whatever.
It was not intended to cause other forum goers to rise up and disparage the current forum moderators. I personally like Unclebob and Insanolord and I don't have a problem with the job they are doing. I find them very fair and lenient. So, to see some of the comments and harsh ones at that directed at them is not something I want to be associated with or to have people say for my benefit. I understand where Unclebob is coming from. He came to the forums, saw disruption going everywhere and had no idea how big or widespread it was so acted fast to contain it. He thought he had to act fast and did. If others did this as a way of trying to stick it to the mods because they really do dislike them, that is their business and they can speak there opinions. But it isn't the case for me and again I do apologize for causing such a reaction as it wasn't the reaction I thought would occur.
Stratos - Thanks for the comment. That was more of what I was hoping to accomplish which was a bit of entertainment.
Shyguy, Oblivion - Please tone down the speech. If I was a moderator, I may have very well done the same thing as Unclebob. Frankly, as mentioned before, none of these people are getting payed to do this. The fact that they moderate isn't because of some power trip (at least I hope not) but because they do care about the community and try to foster it within the provided rules. If they didn't like us, bannings would probably happen a whole lot more.
And Oblivion. You posted a thread of felling depressed and alone and people reached out to you with kind words and to show you have support here. And then to come here and belittle the mods is sad to see as I would hope you would be repaying the kindness you have been shown instead. It's like the golden rule. Do to others how you would like to be treated. There's also the saying of catching more flies with honey than vinegar. If you want to sway people over to what you have to say, you are going to have more success doing it in a calm and gentle manner.
However, I do appreciate that you both went to bat for me and the other members who were banned. It's nice to know that you enjoy my prescence on the forums enough to do so. I do thank you for that.

Don't bring my thread into this. That thread is seperate from what happens throughout the rest of the forums. Hell, the days after that thread had calmed down, TJ Spyke and I continued to have our fanboy flame wars. It's all in good fun and I know that there is no hard feelings.
Same with what I said yesterday. If I feel like the mods or admins are abusing their powers, why would I keep quiet? I love this community, for the very reason you said and because of how nice people were being. But still, that is separate from anything else that happens. I can't look the other way simply because of their kindness with my issues.
