Totally wigging me out with the left-handed stylus action, Jonny.

Good interview in a hard situation, makes me look forward to this one even more. The hub "fortress" mehanic seems pretty interesting, I wonder just how many sidequests there are going to be.

Just hope they make these ones more durable, fix the bad shoulder buttons, and provide ample space between the two screens so that we can avoid streaks on the 3D screen.

I have played once since the patch and had a very enjoyable experience. It seems to have weeded out a lot of the jerk/douchebag crowd.

Sounds kind of interesting, like Skyrim-lite. Yay, I was the first person to draw the Skyrim comparison!

When Square decided to make Final Fantasy 7 on the PSone instead of the N64 they also decided to go back to the Japanese numeration. That is what makes it more confusing.

Still abnormally excited about this game. I Just wish it came out sooner.

Kingdom Hearts: a quintessential summer game. Something about Disney makes me think of summer.

General Gaming / Your Favorite Summer Gaming Memory
« on: April 29, 2012, 07:01:51 PM »
Summer is quickly approaching (and it feels like it already in many areas.) Although I spent a lot of time playing outside as a kid in summers past there were also a lot of hours spent in dim air-conditioned basements with a controller in my hands and a cold soda within reach.

I think my favorite summer gaming memory came the summer after I graduated from high school. One of my friends was in the process of moving, but certain responsibilities (his summer job, for example) kept him in our town. The family of our mutual friend generously allowed him to stay at their home for the duration of the summer. Basically, they just handed their basement over to the three of us (I would often spend the night also) for a few months. It was the closest thing that any of us had ever had to having our own apartment. There was a air hockey table, two computers, a freezer full of otter pops, and of course a T.V. and an N64. It would be impossible to calculate how many hours we put in to multiplayer Perfect Dark and Super Smash Brothers that summer. We would even connect our computers over LAN and play Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. I would find myself over there most evenings and many days, gaming from the afternoon into the wee hours of the morning.

Of course, that Summer was also significant because we all scattered to the four winds afterwards, to college and other places. It was like we were giving our childhood a proper send off.

What is your favorite Summer Gaming memory?

I have enough Amazon gift card credit for one 3DS game. There were already a lot of games in the running, and it looks like another has been added. Crap!

The graphics are absolutely stunning and it looks super fun to boot. Might be buying a Wii U somewhat sooner than I had anticipated.

For someone who has never even played castle of illusion I am absurdly excited for this game.

It's fun to grind for alchemy ingredients on dragonquest IX while on the throne. There's something about he alchemy pot bubbling and bobbling and then spitting something new out that seems fitting.

Does anyone know of any potential liscensing issues when it comes to the Final Fantasy Legend games? I've always wanted to play those.

Those backgrounds look really pretty. Still, I think I would have preferred something more like 3d land than straight up sidescrolling.'

Yeah, once you learn the Song of Soaring and the song that unlocks the actual dungeon (in Majoras Mask) you are set. And of course the Song of Inverted Time, without which the game would be impossible. I am at the Woodfall boss right now, but have had to go back to him once or twice because I can't remember how to beat him.

I also added Zach and Scott ( and Neal) to my friend list. My code is 5370 1004 4080.

I use the big pack of Flents wipes that you can buy at Costco. They are good for glasses and Ipods also.
