The method just sounds like a bad way to play games to me. They decide what you get, and for how long. Stay subscribed to a game and end up paying more than a retail copy. Live in a place with lower bandwidth? never get to play it. They want to quit servicing the game in 2020? It's gone forever. Then they can re-release it for a higher price in 2022. Every game can be Games as a Service, the single player "problem" is fixed!
