Activision recently announced that The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon for Nintendo DS and Wii is available in retail stores. Dawn of the Dragon completes the Legend of Spyro trilogy, this time reuniting Spyro and one-time anatagonist Cynder to save the dragon world.

Players can choose to play as either dragon or, in a first for the series, a second player can join at anytime to bring both characters into play. The DS version of the game features side scrolling levels supplemented by rail shooting segments reminiscent of Sega's Panzer Dragoon series.

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon also features the voice-over talent of a number of popular actors, including Christina Ricci, Gary Oldman, and Mark Hamill. Voicing Spryo himself is Elijah Wood, best known for playing Frodo in the Lord of the Rings films.
