TalkBack / Re: Expansion Pass Announced For Breath Of The Wild

I have a hard time understanding the logic behind not buying because you can't buy them individually. They set the prices and who knows what they would be if sold separately. $20 seems fair to me.

When I go to the movies its almost $20 and thats for 2 hours of entertainment...

Of course the DLC may completely be throw away nonsense, in that case yes...everyone complaining is completely right. I don't think they will screw it up that badly though.

Putting hard mode behind the pay wall is disappointing. Although I am not apposed to having additional content added later in the games life since it'll give me a reason to come back and visit it again. This is a first for them and hope they make it a substantial addition, for $20 it sounds like a good deal. Much better than what some other games charge for additional content.

I am wondering what the additional map feature could be though.

Isn't TVii basically a web app, though? Like Miiverse, I don't think that's something that would get updated with a firmware update - it just happens whenever you log in after Nintendo (or whoever manages it) decides to update it.

That may be the case, but I don't think that has been the way they have updated the TVii app, at least not the way they had initially updated it. It hadn't been updated till the first or second large "speed boost" update the wiiu had gotten.

It seems to have gotten better since that update and I hadn't noticed when.

TVii...while not a feature I had ever used, mostly because it was slow and broken seems to be much better now. Faster and can be controlled by the buttons on the controller instead of only the touch screen. Was that updated in this update? I had checked at the last big update and didn't notice the ability to use the buttons to navigate till now.

This just seems like bad press for Nintendo...and it's not even good bad press. So they stop supporting the system and make no new games for it then bash nintendo for games not selling well? Hmmm yeah makes perfect sense!

I had played this for about an hour and while I do agree with most of your reveiw I wouldn't agree with the last statment "Offering nothing for the fans while having gameplay that’s fun to no one". When I had played an hour or so with my nephew and one of his freinds about a week ago we all had a pretty good time. I think for kids under 12 this game is pretty good.
