Post by: Shaymin on February 14, 2016, 03:14:20 PM

CoroCoro Magazine has the scoop UPDATE: We now have its English name.

This month's CoroCoro magazine appears to feature a brand new Pokémon, the first of the seventh generation.

A trailer showing the magazine cover in Japan, obtained by Serebii, shows a silhouette of a new Pokémon named "Magiana".

In the past, the first Pokémon of a new generation was revealed more than a year before the games released, with Bonsly being playable in Pokémon XD more than a year before Diamond and Pearl came out.

UPDATE: The full image of Magiana is now available from CoroCoro.

UPDATE February 14: The Pokémon Company has revealed the new Pokémon's English name: Magearna.

It looks pretty cool, even if it does strongly resemble Diancie.

I would love for Nintendo to go bold and launch Pokemon with the new Nintendo NX portable.

Actually, it might be the only way to get a proper Pokemon game on the NX.  If they could actually create a world where you are walking around talking to real life people and adventuring it would be great.

I imagine that if you just had a main story mode, but then connected with your friends watching them travel with you it could be great...and shouldn't be hard to do.  You can keep everything basically the same, but watch your friends journey through the story mode with you.

Launching with Pokemon would only hurt the sales of Pokemon.  A new console with high demand is only going to result in long term system shortages.  Hell, the Wii U had shortages and . . . well, you know.  I'm worried creating a Pokemon shortage would hurt the brand more than help the NX.

I suppose it is a seventh generation Pokemon, isn't it?

If it can't be datamined from either XY or ORAS, then that means...

Well, it could just be a Pokemon from Pokemon Z, I guess.
