Nintendo is on the low killing it in the space that matters, games creation. I shall take advantage of this deal.

An unexpected score but Neal and I rarely agree so I guess not an expected score, lol. I never was big into Battle Mode so thats a wash but "bland" that is a telling bit of phrasing. I guess I know what I'm in for when it comes to Mario Kart and I'm okay with it.

So you are saying I get to meet Mr Dimond J in person, I was already coming to PAX East (driving in from Ohio) and this (along with a couple of other scheduled meetups) has me more than a little excited to be coming to the show. I have got to lock my hotel room down stat.

I don't know, you could buy diet, like I am made to do as my wife is a diabetic and can't have sugar. The 20 oz bottles are about a buck, if you get 200 points your a buck ahead. Heck you could more than likely just find a cap or two or ask your soda drinking compatriots to save the code caps for you.  I mean, you might as well work your hand right?

Where as when I finally took the box to the curb (see what I did there) I was a lone ninja, though I still used bombs.

Two years after copping it, I am finally past stupid Tree Boss, and the tall ninja boss after. Once again the game is fun and I am excited to be playing it. Switching weapons, who knew? Well clearly Vudu did so shouts out to him for the advice. I am at the board where you can jump and stick to the ceiling, I keep mis timing my jumps and ending up on the bamboo, but I am having a ball.

Has anyone noticed that the people you race in worldwide and regional races Mii's appear in the Mii Parade? I only noticed this because of a very distinct Mii I raced against and I go to the Mii Parade (I like to see how much it has grown) and there is said Mii along with a bunch of others I recognized from various races. Also,, you know how Miis appear in various forms around the game, whne playing online does my competitor see my Mii's or his/her own?

The Mari Kart Channel comes on the Mario Kart Wii disc. You can add it to the Wii or not, it is not a downloadable channel.

It is as if we are playing two different games and it makes me wonder how is that possible. Most of you seem to have had a really bad on-line experience and I am the complete opposite and we all seem to be doing the same thing so how is it I can have such a positive experience, and others so craptacular?

I play pretty much nightly. Never random, always friend codes. Only when a particular buddy in Boston (I am in Cleveland, OH) gets on does it bog down, he thinks it's because he uses Comcast as his ISP. I can't call it. I have played now hundreds of matches on line from people as far away as California, and as close as a county away (my night job coworkers). I use Cox Cable as my ISP. Before I got the game I moved my wireless router around and took the high gain antenna off my desktop and placed it on the router itself. The router is set to channel 1. Hm mm, what else can I tell you, I have had great fun playing this game on line, it's only the second game after Madden that I have played on-line with the Wii. I understand people having issue with the Wii's on line offerings. Like I have never had issue with the Shop Channel while I read all the time about peoples downloads taking forever. I use a Zyxel router if that matters.

I have a high gain antenna that is normally connected to my pc with the standard antenna connected to the router. Last night I switched the configuration and placed the high gain antenna on the router and the short one on the pc card. I had to move the antenna around (it's in my basement pretty much directly under my entertainment center but furtehr away from my desk and the computer. Wow was that explanation long enough? Anyway, I played four matches last night completly free of lag. These were "Play Anybody" matches not Friend Code matches which I have yet to get to play due to timing issues with my friends. I have also watched a couple of matches in Spectator Mode with no lag either so there, thats my story.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Wii Question

So I'm on the offical Wii site trying to find an answer and they have interviews for the developers of each channel. Did you know the Forecast and News channels have different music depending on the time of the day? That is so sweet. As for the answer, it simply reads must have internet connection to use these features so I assume they are there just not able to be used if you have not got the internets up and running on the Wii.

Well a friend of mine is getting one and wanted to know what she needed to get and as I have had my Wii since the jump off I have had to download everything and hadn't the foggiest idea if she needed to download or would it be there when she fires the system up.

Do new Wiis come with the new and forecast channels or do they need to be downloaded?

I think the title says it all. Go to the Wii Ware section of the Shopping channel and get this. It's not a demo, just a slick little preview channel with a couple of streaming movies and a couple of pictures, oh, and the most awesome cursor of all the Wii Channels.

Works like a champ for me. I like the way the new "Wii Styled" interface works as I was using this before they fixed that and it was a whole lot of zoom in and click here that was not very intuitive. The giant sized font and layout of media is so much easier than before. The fact that it streams directly from my PC as opposed to having to go over the internet and then to my Wii makes it considerably faster and just pretty fly to me.

I must have the worlds greatest Wii (ha,ha, get out of your system people) because I have never had any of the problems described by people occur on it. You Tube worked fine all day yesterday and I have yet to have my Wii freeze up on a site. I chalked it up to robust Nintendo brand product now I'm thinking extremely good luck from the Wii gods themselves. Anyway, my wife and I watched a ton of videos but what I cant wait for is the ability to download game saves Dreamcast style once again. That was one of the coolest functions of the DC on-line.

I have the React Brand cables and they are of really good quality (I am a bit of a cable nut as long as they are reasonably priced or can be had at a reasonable cost) and I am impressed. The difference in Zelda is huge which is what I was hoping for, but the difference on the Wii Channels screen is also quite noticeable. I have only had the cables since Thursday night so I have not had a ton of time with them but the difference is pretty darned marked.

How exactly does the GameSaves Memory Card Manager work?  And is it compatible wih the saves they have available over at gamefaqs?
