Townie roles are almost wiped out but a mafia member has been taken down now so both sides are dealing some damage. This match just got real, yo!

Item news!

Thatguy had the Freezie item and has taken it with him out of the game to use in the Dead Thread. That battle is just beginning. Pokepal148 also had an item, it is the Poison Mushroom. It has a vote number value of 4. That means it goes to the player who was fourth to vote Pokepal148 and at 9:59 PM, that fourth person is Hypotheliciously. He starts the day off with 2 votes already. He just likes a challenge, I guess.


Voting will end at Midnight EST as usual.


Today we are at the Metroid Pyrosphere. With one dragon dead, we might as well take this opportunity to use some Ridley Dragon jokes now. Or not. Your choice there.

I hate not being around at the end of day when votes are getting tallied and the excitement is taking  place.
For what it's worth, I also hate that we won't see another epic Charizard post like came out yesterday.

Wow, my workout schedule is packed today. But that's the bast way to stay healthy: be active! Everyone should keep this in mind when planning their daily routines.

So yesterday....wow, what a day. I barely survive a tie by switching up my vote last minute. Thatguy ends up being the townie whore (I honestly thought he was being clever since it's such a difficult role to prove). And Pokepal ends up being the goon. Not a bad day for the townies.

Now all this makes me look rather bad since I wanted to kill thatguy with my Smash ball. Why did I think thatguy was mafia? I didn't have much to base it on other than him starting the bandwagon on the first day (which Pokepal, Insanolord, and Nuclearspeed jumped onto FYI). It would have also allowed me to vote out Spak (for voting for me) and investigate Stratos, who for some reason is the lynchpin in most games. I was obviously wrong about my abilities and even more so about thatguy. I am sorry.


This makes for an interesting day 3, and right off the bat I have two votes against me and also two votes by Mop_it_Up and Stratos. Now I understand why they are voting for me, and I understand why they voted for me so quickly (Mop_it_Up's vote coming in only 20 minutes after the creation of the thread at roughly 2:00am eastern time). Mop_it_Up wants my smash ball and voted first, because there's a very good chance I will die today by vote. But she must also understand that if I am voted out, she will likely be killed by the mafia. They wouldn't allow her to have the most powerful item in the game, one that could potentially kill them, vote them, and expose them all in one turn.


That is why the safest course of action is to keep me alive or else risk the smash ball going to the mafia. If I am voted out today, we will lose two townies and the ratio become 3:6, putting us at a severe disadvantage and likely losing the game the day after. We need to focus our energy to voting out mafia, rather than punishing me for misreading the rules.

And lastly, to be clear I do not think Mop it Up is mafia.


Now I am going to VOTE STEVEY

A simple look a Ejamer's vote record makes him a townie. Why would stevey want to kill him?

OH and I'd like to say THANK YOU GODFATHER FOR KILLING THATGUY AND SUBSEQUENTLY FRAMING ME. It's a brilliant move. Really it is. Except it's way too obvious for even me.

If I were part of the mafia or a Godfather, why the hell would I kill thatguy after blatantly saying I wanted to kill thatguy with a FINAL SMASH? It's too coincidently. It's too perfect a connection for anyone to pass up when hunting for mafia, except that it makes no logical sense. No one would do that.

So thank you, Godfather. Thank you for pretty much proving my innocence.

That combative attitude isn't quite what I was hoping to see - we're in this together, after all. But it's still the most activity seen yet from stevey so we'll consider it a start.  After all, any action is better than nothing... I suppose...
 


For what it's worth, I'd rather see Hypo not voted off just yet.


We have no idea what the vote number is for his item (correct me if wrong) and thus no way to know who would end up with the item. Without that knowledge, there is a lot of chance in smashing him. I'd rather let the mafia kill him and see the item wasted than have them in control - being able to smash one townie, reveal another (ie: wasting the reveal), and give two auto votes to a third person could be pretty close to game ending...


Then again, I'm not sure the odds get better for a townie ending up with the item then they are now and with two votes against him it might look grim anyway.

So that's a dilemma.


With 4 votes already going towards Hypo, there is no incentive for Mop to change her vote, no matter which side she's on. Except for the fact that, if she's a townie, she'll probably get killed by mafia at night anyway. Self preservation versus taking one for the team - assuming someone else doesn't grab more votes than Hypo before midnight.


So... yeah...  retracting my previous vote, but not sure where to throw it yet. Open to suggestions.

That said, Stratos might be mafia. And because of this, simply changing her vote will **** the townies as well. So I may wait a bit to decide who to vote for, although I am leaning towards Insanolord, but if Mop it Up, and more likely Stratos, do not change they're vote, they're almost guaranteed to be mafia.

Time to go look at his failed attempt to use the item yesterday.

I'd like to say one last thing before I **** off for the rest of the night.

This decision by us townies tonight well decide the game. I fucked us by fucking up and divulging my item, making me a target that townies can rally against and mafia can use to hide. It is up to the rest of you to decide whether voting me out is worth a townie loss. I promise I am not the mafia, but as much I as I know it to be true, you guys are obviously wary.

I'm going to vote Insanolord. It may not be right, but he's my best guess after two day. And if Mop it Up and Stratos makes the right choice (and I believe she will, but not Stratos), then we can stop the mafia from getting my item and winning the game.

Again this crucial, and it hinges on if I am Mafia or not. If I am, then I wouldn't mind dying so much since we could just kill who ever first voted for me (i.e. Mop it Up) and thus save the mafia from getting destroyed by a Final Smash. That would leave us with 2:7 or even 2:8 (if I am the Godfather). A challenge but still ultimately doable. However, if I am not Mafia, killing me and whoever gets the smash ball (again Mop it Up) would skew the numbers to 3:6 which would screw us townies and we'd probably lose the game after tomorrow unless we played it perfectly.

So just from a risk/reward standpoint, is it worth killing me and knowing the truth of me being brash townie vs. losing the mafia game?

Checked to see if there was anything valuable added. So the two people I single out as not contributing anything useful have now provided two amazingly useful retaliation votes without any meaningful content in them.  Hmm...
