I've now rolled credits on Pokopia, so I can start focusing on new games soon. Since I finished this during August then I'm still gonna count it. For some reason, I was expecting this to be a lot more akin to Dragon Quest Builders than it actually is, which is disappointing to me, personally. I'm not so sure that I'm going to back to finish building the habitats for the rest of the Monz; I wanted more areas to explore.

Hey all, long-time lurker, first-time (in ages) poster. Can I get in on this? :D I'm making an attempt to complete OG Hollow Knight. I played it long ago but never quite finished it. I'd like to get through all of it including the DLC if possible.
It's nice to see that my number-one fan has finally returned!

I'm probably gonna go for quality over quantity this time. Two Nintendo titles I've been curious about for a while are The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Princess Peach Showtime!, neither of which seem like particularly lengthy games so they should be good for an event like this.

That is, if I can pry meself away from my current Pokopia addiction. Though, perhaps if I finish that in August, I can count it too...

You know what’s odd about my Smash hours? It stopped counting several years ago when I updated to the OLED. So much of my data just didn’t work properly.
When you got the OLED Switch, did you perform a full system transfer over to it? Or did you simply log into the new system with your user and go from there?

One thing I've observed is how the playtime data works in strange ways. The server doesn't combine time played on different systems, it just takes the highest number and displays that one. So for example, if you play a game for 100 hours on one system, then play it for 50 hours on another system, the time will still display 100 hours. Though, sometimes it does think a game is "newly played" and will reset the hours to 0, but it will restore the old playtime if you go and play the game on the original system. I don't know what causes that to happen.

While I don't know the specific details, I know that Animal Crossing has its own form of transferring saves. They can't be shared across systems with the cloud saves like most other games.

Mine was delivered today, but my friends aren't quite ready to dive in, so I may not try it out for a bit.

I hope they don't rest until all versions of Dr. Mario are available.

For some reason, I thought this had already shut down around the time they dumped all its tracks into Mario Kart VIII.

Is there a reason why so many third-parties refuse to offer upgrades? Is it a complicated process? Is it easier to do on PS5/Xbox Whatever?

I bought it back in February, but only got around to playing it this month. It's pretty good, as is to be expected! I have some gripes, but they're easy enough to ignore and focus on the good. I like to see how many bananas I can get without using the transformations (not that they aren't fun, but it's interesting to see what's possible to reach without them).

Ask and ye shall receive.
Thanks mate.

I used to have the launch GameCube box, but it has long since been lost in the shuffle, sadly. I also hadn't realised Kameo was announced that early, yeah we gotta get that on here as well! Now that I think about it, I believe Perfect Dark Zero was announced for GameCube before the buyout. Might as well go for the full "what if" and get them all.

As an aside, remember when system boxes used to be interesting by actually showing some games? The boxes for Switch and Switch 2 are so plain and boring, like buying office supplies.

I was curious about how the team multiplayer works, and I was able to try it out with some friends thanks to the GameShare. I like that each stage has different objectives that pop up, allowing for more ways of scoring than just shooting down enemies. Working as a unit also feels pretty important, as it's easy to get shredded when you're off on your own. The main issue with it is that with just three stages, it's pretty light on content. I don't think there's enough here for me to buy the game.

I didn't know Donkey Kong Racing was on the box for the GameCube. Do you have an image of that?

While we're at it, we might as well go mop wild and have them release whatever was completed for Conker before all the raunch was added. We can never have enough of these scraps!

You know what would be really cool is if they actually released Dinosaur Planet onto this thang! Although, I s'pose this may not be possible as-is, because I don't think it ever got to a completed state like Star Fox 2 did. Maybe Rare would be willing to play ball and hand the rights back over to Playtonic Games so they can finally finish it up as intended.

Yeah yeah yeah I know it ain't gonna happen but let me dream here!

Since we got Turok 1 and 2, I would think 3 is also on the table at some point. There's actually good reason to put it on here, as the remaster totally axed the multiplayer mode. It would also be nice to see Turok Rage Wars, which will likely not see a remaster.

Nintendo published Tetrisphere, and they've been willing to re-licence the Tetris name on Game Boy. Get this one too!

Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero were on the Virtual Console, hopefully Konami would be willing to play ball and allow them on here as well. It'd be nice to also see Bomberman 64 2 join them.

Unfortunately, one barrier for third-party games is that Nintendo still refuse to emulate the Controller Pak. This could pose a problem for any game that would require loading a save for any reason, or for games that allowed each player to load their own save off their Pak. Even Bomberman 64 loses access to the Custom Bomberman feature without it.

What's the deal with the rights to the Cruis'n series? Cruis'n USA was on the Virtual Console, yeah they're not great but it'd still be neat to see the dumb fun of all three games on here.

On that note, who currently owns Midway's properties? We need the Rush games to return! Though this one would be complicated if they didn't emulate the Controller Pak.

Sounds like there are at least four copies of Ogre Battle 64. Could there be any more out there...?

That reminds me, I still need to buy this. Can't say if I'd buy DLC or not, but likely not.

This looks pretty rad, I may end up getting it around launch.

17
This is a neat idea, but making it time-limited seems strange to me.

18
I kind of wish that the leaks were not true, though they were so prominent that it felt pretty much confirmed. I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually because I'm a sucker, but remakes in general don't have much interest from me.

19
I still haven't gotten around to Xenoblade 2 and 3, so a new one doesn't excite me at the moment. I'll probably download the NS2 editions of 2 and 3 if and when I finally get to them; definitely 2 since I've heard the performance in that game is awful.

20
I haven't tried Nintendo Switch Sports, so I don't think I have a need for Resort. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever played the original Wii Sports Resort, I could probably get just as much from going back and trying that. Gotta say though, I think only Nintendo would have the gall to dedicate 5 minutes of a large presentation to thumb wrestling. And I say that as a compliment!

Oh, Spring Man won.

IYKYK

21
Nope. Which just goes to show I'd have no hope of getting through this game!

22
Oh, I get it. The title sounds like "blueprints." Ah ha ha ha ha... ha... haaaaaaa

As long as they bring back the co-op, that's all I really need.

Finally! I was always curious about this one but never got around to picking it up, so I'm looking forward to try it out.
