There is also the Mayflash version for $25, but this one has better reviews (and looks identical, sans logo, to the Nintendo version).
Nintendo's website only lists Best Buy (no longer available) and GameStop (apparently in stock May 5th?) as official retailers...just putting it out there. Mine will show up on Sunday (gotta love Amazon Prime), which I will use to play...GameCube games on my Wii U (head's up Insano, this will work with Nintendont...as far as I know).

Yeah, I've got one and have used it with Nintendont. Works really well, identical to playing on a regular GameCube, at least as far as I've seen, with all the special trigger functions and everything.

I preordered an official adapter + smash controller for $50 on gamestop. I was going to get the one with two controllers but it was already sold out.

Just a follow-up: this showed up today (and my N64 USB adapter woohoo!) and it works perfectly with the Wii U. The build quality is actually quite nice, if it wasn't for the logo it would look identical to the Nintendo version.
