We currently have a three way tie among three movie choices, each with a thid of the toatal votes. Now, I hope that Ghost Rider does not make it because Vampire's Kiss starred Nic Cage and I do not want to see another one of his movies for a while, unless it is ConAir.

The last two choices, The Faculty and Class of 1999, are fairly similar in themes to each other. Both have teens battling evil teachers. So, I want Class of  1999 to win because it has faded from the scene and the Faculty is still fairly modern.

That's my thoughts as well.

As for the movie, I finished a while ago.  Sorry for the lack of commentary, but the true horror that is the godawfulness of this movie just put my brain into such utter shock that it required me to throw in something that is the complete opposite (in other words, beating Mass Effect 2  :P: : ) just to be able to talk about it without wanting to hurt something.  Ugh...just UGH!  How the hell did Nicholas Cage have a career after this movie, let alone anyone else who worked on this movie?  The plot is horrible, the acting terrible, the direction sloppy, the editing poor, and the music unbearably intrusive in the first half of the movie and then completely nonexistent in the second half.  And what, was that ending supposed to be "ironic" or something?  The guy was an asshole even before he went nuts, and in the end he got what he deserved.  And this is supposed to be a "dark comedy", yet I didn't even come close to laughing once!  That's definitely the first and last time I vote for a movie on the basis of its name only, without doing any research on it beforehand.   ::)

And to whoever suggested Twilight, I leave you with this: if any of those movies somehow manages to get nominated and voted in, I will track each and every one of you that voted for it down, and I will do worse than kill you.  I will hurt you.  And I will go on...hurting you.  You will just be there...buried alive...buried alive... :P: :

(seriously, just kidding but there's no way in hell I'm watching or commenting on a Twilight movie unless we're all doing it as some sort of audio commentary or something via Skype.  I won't be the only one watching that crap while you all duck out.   :P: : )

No, i wasn't serious about Twilight, and just because it is on the list does not mean you have to watch it. I still haven't watched a lot of these movies. I still haven't watched Titanic.

I nominate the television show The Colony, i don't know why I watch it. It is just sooo bad. There is just so much potential that goes nowhere. I was seriously hoping that this season would be better than the last being set in Louisiana...but no...same stupid **** that made the last season bad.

Yoga Inc.

StreamingHulu, Snag Films or LetMeWatchThis

Year: 2006
Genre: Documentary
Rating:
Length: 58:24 (< 1hour)
Quote
Yoga Inc: World Yoga Champion Esak Garcia and his guru Bikram Choudhury want yoga accepted into the Olympics. Bikram, the 'Bad Boy of Yoga', has also copyrighted his yoga style, demanding teachers play by his rules or stop teaching. Now yoga chains ('McYoga'?) are popping up everywhere, putting smaller studios out of business. Can yoga survive with its good karma intact?

My schedule is flexible, so I sure I can manage to stretch my time and fit this in somewhere.

Y-K...Yogkey Kong!

 She has no style,
 She has no grace.
 This Kong
 Has a funny face.

 She can handstand,
 When she needs to.
 And stretch her arms out,
 Just for you.
 Contort herself
 and see her own bum...

 This crazy Kong,
 Just digs Bikram!

HUH!

 Y-K...Yogkey Kong!

One of these things doesn't belong here. It doesn't belong anywhere, really.

Which version of A Nightmare on Elm Street, the original or the remake?

Also, Twilight is not a bad movie (although I do think it's stupid that they made their vampires sparkle in sunshine).

Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Class of 1999
Streaming: Youtube or LetMeWatchThis

Year: 1990
Rating: UR
Length: 99min (1hr 39mins)
Starring: Malcolm McDowell, Stacy Keach, Pam Grier
Genre: SciFi Thriller
Quote
Alarmed by the ongoing deterioration of urban schools, the government inserts a cadre of lifelike cyborg teachers into one of the country's worst schools to test their effectiveness in eradicating the "bad apples" from the system. But when discipline spirals into corporal punishment and eventually murder, a war erupts between the school's countless gangs and the seemingly indestructible members of the faculty.

Whew.... Glad I graduated the year before that. School sure changed alot in that 1 year.
I wonder how the teachers got past all the metal detectors and why the male students didn't realize that the teacher they were banging was actually made of life-like rubber.

I don't care if she is a robot, so far Pam Grier looks great in this movie 3 minutes in. I'd hit it.

7 minutes in are those just random explosions? or does someone have a bazooka...cus they look like random explosions.

8 minutes in, if society is so bankrupt why would anyone even bother going to a traditional school?

i was listening to a writing podcast yesterday, they were talking about science fiction world building...this would be a worst case scenario.

why would the principal let his daughter go to that school?

I would hit Pam Grier too regardless if she was a robot or not.

The random explosions are possibly road side bombs.

Why would they go to a traditional school? This movie was made in the early 90s and was a time when a lot of violence in schools was begining to come out in the lime light and this movie,as silly as the plot might be, was kind of a swipe towards our public schools.

The principal allwed his daughter to attend the school because he was an educater, he wanted to keep an eye on her and he was also hoping that her smarts would wear off on her class mates.

This movie is kind of dull plot wise, but it is still very good none the less.

If you wanna break Class of 1999 down, then by all means, please accept the challenge, but I didn't make time for that movie and you and The Perm sounded like you watched it, so I was hoping the 2 of you would cover it.
