I’m not really looking forward to PMS CALL-OUTS. That sounds like a bad time.

DragonBall Fighter Z - Late Port, should have been here a while ago
Fortnite - Not surprised, I will give it a shot
Monster Hunter XX - Late import, should have been here a while ago, I'm sure it will do well.
Fifa 19 - nice of EA to continue their stellar support for another year
Killer Queen Black - Didn't know anything about it, looks very hipster but it could be fun.
Starlink - Pepperidge Farm remembers, I bet the toys 2 life aspects will be downplayed
Paladins - Wasn't there a rumor about this coming to Switch already? I will check it out
Overcooked 2 - Suprised to see a sequel so soon. Timed exclusive I'm guessing?
Mario Tennis Aces - One of these things is not like the other...
This whole line up seems very multi-player focused

Fortnite is all but officially announced because the Korean Game Ratings Board basically said, “**** your E3 announcement, Epic. LOL!” then just released the classification decision for the game.

Now that E3 is spoiled, is it time to talk about who won?

Nintendo's third party plans may have been spoiled, but I'm still expecting surprises from them.

I honestly, don't really need a surprise this year.  Just release dates and trailers on things I know that are coming (MP4, Smash, Yoshi).  There's very little they could announce (Star Fox GP) that's gonna get me more excited than a new Smash.  Like, it's a Smash Bros year for me.  Just give me Smash, and I'm happy.

I like surprise announcements, but leaks don’t bother me.

But yeah, I’m with you. I’m all about Super Smash Bros. Just give it to me.

I know I will get banned for this but I am so over Smash. How dare they include Pac-Man as a playable character but not Ms. Pac-Man? Screw you Nintendo.

Only banned from our hearts.

The simplest explanation for no Ms. Pac-Man is that no third party character got a different character alt. Bayonetta and Cloud got completely unique costumes, but Ryu, for example, didn’t get Ken or Evil Ryu.

Nothing tops the E3 where the Nintendo brochure was leaked days before the event with the reveal of Wario Land on the Gamecube, and everyone said that wasn't everything...and that was their everything. I think this was 2004?

That must have been 2003. 2004 was the Legendary Twilight Princess reveal. Was 2002 the reveal of Pac-Man Vs?

I got my GameCube in 2003 and Pac-Man vs. was one of the first games I bought. Wario World was not long after. I thought the TP reveal was 2005?

This sounds more right to me. Remember: Twilight Princess launched simultaneously on the Wii, which would give a 2005 trailer drop a year of in-between.

I often go back and watch the Twilight Princess reveal. Probably the best reaction to a surprise game announcement I've ever seen.

This could be a thread entirely its own, but there have been so many great trailer reveals throughout the years. I can honestly say that the first reveal trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X almost drove me mad with excitement. I quite liked the first Kid Icarus trailer, as well, and the first Breath of the Wild trailer (with gameplay, although the original "open-world" reveal was quite nice) had me speechless.

The first reveal was E3 2004.

This was the E3 2005 trailer.

This is why many Nintendo fans acted like the world was over when they announced a delay a few months later.  It's one of the reasons Nintendo began their policy on not showing games until they're near completion, which is rather funny since nearly every Zelda after ended up getting revealed too early as well.

Are Pac-man and Ms. Pac-man rights owned by the same company though? Pac-Man is a Namco property and they've largely opened up the copyright on it I think. Ms. Pac-Man was an Atari release though right? So maybe the rights to that got scattered in the wind? It's either that or sexism!

No, Namco owns both. Ms. Pac-Man was a mod illegally made of Midway arcade boards when Bally/Midway were licensing the Pac-Man games at a time when Namco was not capable of crossing the ocean.

Atari published Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-man on their VCS under direct license from Namco. Namco sued Midway and got the rights to Ms. Pac-Man who has been included in every compilation they release.

Also, she is not a costume of Pac-Man (or is she *wink*) she is a separate character so she wouldn't have been an alt costume she would have been another addition to the roster. I know semantics but still, I was mostly joking.

Huh, cool! Never knew this, thanks for the history lesson. :) Would be a cool addition, though I'd like her to have a different moveset as well then. Maybe this is the year Falco and Ganondorf finally surpass clone status too. And maybe pigs will fly as well!
